I don't know how to add you tube videos on here but my favourite, most uplifting tune is Johnny Nash's 'I can see clearly now'........brilliant
  2. My dogs don't take the noise of fireworks, sirens, traffic etc under their notice. I once minded my friend's dog which she said was 'petrified'of fireworks and hid in a wardrobe at her house over halloween and 5 November. While it was in my house it mingled with my dogs, was treated like a dog and was ignored when the fireworks were going off. It never twitched.
  3. i should imagine there are plenty of dogs out there that could give her a run for her money or better her ... i was more impressed that the bitch came home without one single injury after running over fresh cut hawthorn all afternoon ....... Great to hear you are proud of her and that so many other people admire her abilities! Is this her full time job or does she lamp as well? It's refreshing to see a dog doing its job well and being appreciated without the 'kill em all' hard nut knobs attitude doing a man and his dog down.
  4. read the start of the thrad its complicated I did read it but couldn't work out whether you were buying one or contemplating breeding one, thus the question.......
  5. Has someone bred a litter of borzo1 x whippets or are you consdering doing it?
  6. The barn raising scene in 'seven brides for seven brothers' when the gingers end up hammering all the rival teams! Perfect sunday afternoon viewing......
  7. They look very healthy well reared pups. Are you keeping one yourself? I'm sure it would be a job to pick one! Good luck to them in their new homes.
  8. Is leptospirosis not one of the diseases new pups are routinely vacinated for in the UK? just got my new staffy pup his first jab and covers the lepto in it mate? from a vet cost me £16 and will get the second in 2weeks will cost £16?kennel cough, rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis,?think thats what the jabs cover on the book from vets? Exactly........I don't get the bit posted above by Dan Edwards about the jab being dangerous for pups - i'd much prefer to have it done as not.
  9. I'm not a fan of cats but it could have ended up mangled in the bin lorry, it is probably some child's pet. What if it was a pup she had put in the bin? Would people say the same? She sounds like a right freak and desreves the attention I reckon. What are people doing letting a puppy walk around in the street? Nice argument!?!? People let their cats out into the street and anything could happen to them, being run over, killed by a dog, but they don't seem to worry. You get a pet cat you take your chance and don't get all worried when it doesn't come home. When I w
  10. Great post. Glad to hear he's coming good. How old is he now?
  11. he should make at least 31tts, but i think he will make a bit bigger than that. Looks like he is going to be a big strong dog. What are you planning to do with him? Don't let him watch too much tv......his eyes might turn square

  14. Yeah Cristian - a very talented family indeed, and they did not all depend on their looks to get to where they did. I think Elvis was a good singer but people who write their own songs and sing are higher up there to me......Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards.......
  15. Some excellent samples of handcrafted leather on those sites. I really enjoyed browsing through them.
  16. 21 years old, Listening to rock music, going to gigs, drinking cider and whisky, hanging about with mates, trying to look cool........still doing the same now...... life is good:whistling:
  17. Yes - there are different types of hernias and each dogs hernia is an individual case, varying in size, position etc. My dog has an umbilical hernia from he was a pup, it has never changed in size and he has had no trouble from it, but it was always something I kept an eye on as he grew. Sections of bowel can become strangulated, causing problems
  18. because he pulls on the lead lol, most bullxs pull on a lead, what did he expect poor, i am 58 i can still handle them.!! When I read it, that's what I thought the reason for selling it was and then I thought "surely that's a piss poor reason for selling a dog?" Hope it gets a better home next time.
  19. Best thing on tv for a long time in my opinion.
  20. But did he write any of his own songs?
  21. I must say my tv has been switched to the BBC news channel for the past 24 hours! Great to see those guys being reunited with their families. Anyone else following it?
  22. I lifted the dog cages from the back of the car, all ready to go buy some doors. Got to the door shop and it was closed......went to the garden centre on the way home instead and picked up some seeds for next years growing projects.
  23. I saw some coverage of the lawn bowling today.......I couldn't stand the excitement so turned over to the Eastenders omnibus.
