  1. That's some going. My greyxwhippyxcollie didn't have all his adult teeth until about 5 months!
  2. Do you find that the dogs nails scratch the sofa leather? I'm thinking of getting a leather sofa, was looking at some today.
  3. Good luck - stick at it. I personally find it easier to bring on one pup at a time.
  4. I think what apear to be normal solid coloured dogs can also carry the merle gene, so unless you know history of dog and bitch for certain, breeding merles carry the risk of eye/hearing defects. Although I do think they are handsome critters!
  5. That doesn't apply to the DVLA though! I would presume that photographs were taken as evidence as well. Why does yer mate reckon he should not pay his tax?
  6. They look young? Are they in the town? I see a lot of them on the playing fields near me - usually pulling rubbish out of the bins
  7. Nice pics. Interesting what you can see so close to home. That's one of the reasons I like to feed birds in the garden - you never know what will come to visit.......shame there are so many cats around my area though......
  8. Nice pic - what about putting up the colour version for comparison - it might be nice with the fallen leaves on the grass.
  9. I didn't have a pick - I took the only one that was left - her and I are getting on just great!
  10. WOW! They are fantastic.......like something off a glossy calender. Beautiful detail.
  11. When you say it had the dew claws removed, do you mean they removed the nail or the whole thumb? Mine had the whole thumb digit removed - hard to see how the bone would grow back? Good luck - let us know how you get on at the vet.
  12. thats an interesting one,,sometimes the only thing that seperates the good from the not so good,,is a personality trait,,on say a litter of 8 you'll get 8 different personalities, some full on some laid back,,it dont mean the laid back pup can throw a cracker,,,or does it..?? At what point does quality of training become an issue?
  13. Great pics. They look in good condition now.....full of summer grass. Looks as though you get quite close to them? Are they very timid?
  14. Good call Kay! I just googled 'shield bug' and it looks like it is a hawthorn shield bug. That's a new one for me.
  15. Practising with the camera again today. I saw this bug - it was nearly an inch long. Does anyone know what it is? I saw this spider as well.
  16. Guy once came on to me like that whan I picked up my lass from school. Me,size 9,18 hole DMs. + dog. DOG LOST. Hope you gave the owner a lick with the boots too?
  17. How well trained are your dogs? It may have little respect for you and become too big for its boots. Often when people have more than one dog, the intense one-to-one bond between handler and dog is lost as the dog enjoys interacting with the other dog and the owner finds it easier or more entertaining to watch the dogs run free. I would go back to calmly and regularly reinforcing simple commands with each dog on a one-to-one basis to gain their respect. I would also keep them on leads whilst in parks etc.
  18. Sounds like yous had a right laugh. And not a mention of anyone gurning cos they didn't win a rosette.....that's what it's all about - a bit of fun with the dogs and good craic with friends old and new.....everyone's a winner!
  19. Not what I would choose to watch for entertainment. I saw on tv once the 'chickens on the washing line' stunt and the fattest men in the village riding on the back of a small donkey that staggered about under the weight of him until it collapsed to entertain the crowds.......funny as fuk?....not in a civilized nation (in my opinion).
  20. Reading through this shoite would bore the Taliban into surrender.
  21. I'm starving now after reading that.........come on with the photos!
  22. The dog is settled in a new home now and it sounds like they are happy with it if they wish to keep it. Might be best to leave him there and get a new one.
  23. Are they only non-peds if there is greyhound blood in them? What about 3/4 whippet 1/4 suluki, could they be called non-peds and race at the non-ped meetings?
