  1. Not nice viewing but what is the answer to all this? I reckon people need to stop breeding dogs, then there would be not such a need for these organisations. Would a bullet to the head have been an easier death for these dogs? Not judging the RSPCA specifically for what they did but lets face it not every dog is realistically suitable for rehoming Hands up who would have been queuing up to rehome these dogs (except maybe the GSD breed club rescue)?
  2. Maybe you could put up a link to the original for sale thread to jog people's memories?
  3. 'I found the poor skinny abandoned thing hiding in a hedge and I took pity on it and gave it a home'
  4. If a cub was raised by people what would happen to it? Would it be kept in captivity for all its life or let go free?
  5. Are they less likely to be stolen when kept indoors?
  6. Class looking dog! I think I get a bit dizzy looking at its eyes in some of the close up photos of it! It is very distictive!
  7. Sad loss of a beautiful young woman. Do the best you can for her lad.
  8. That's tough. How old is your daughter? Is she a wee baby or old enough to have the dog as her pet? Maybe you could give the dog to someone decent you know who could use it as a worker and then you would know it had a good permanet home? Good luck.
  9. Perhaps your friend who sold you the dog could suggest suitable bitches. If he has high standards he might have the right connections. Especially if he is looking to have one of the offspring?
  10. Do you think it caught that badger by itself or was it roadkill or natural causes? not road kill it was in a field unless it got hit and managed to skramble off i dont think one of those would be able to kill a badger a badger would destroy a buzzard in a fight!!!! That's what I was thinking. Maybe it got hit by a car and the buzzard was just filling up while he had the chance.
  11. I'm sure it eats and s@&%s just like the rest of them!
  12. When you say it was wrecked and could not get up, do you mean it was like injured?
  13. Is this opinion formed from your actual experience? My actual experience is that they are actually successful at stopping nuisance barking that upsets the actual neighbours, when no other method could, thus saving my dogs from the needle. Did you have your actual dogs from pups and did you spend actual time with them training them basic manners for example not to bark when in the kennel, every dog i have ever owned has learnt that time not spent with me is best spent sleeping. If you do inherit a problem older dog i dare say that with perseverence and patience and a little bit of underst
  14. Nice pics. Have you heard how the rest of the litter are getting on? I liked the sound of them. Did you get the working homes you were looking for them in the end?

  17. i was there with a blue bull x and my dog never injured any other dog and i dint see any other blue bull xs there So it wasnt your blue bull x then that raced down the field with its hackles up. itching for a fight.. so it wasnt your blue x that full on body slammed a little whippet type.. which had to be carried off the field.. so it wasnt you who didnt even apologise... sorry mate.. my mistake...perhaps there was another blue bullx owner there after all... atb stabba What way does the racing work then? Do all the dogs run in muzzles? Do they race against similar heights or types
  18. Why don't you borrow the book from a library rather than buy it? I had a look through it at the local library. If you are already experienced and out walking the walk, you probably do not need to buy it.
  19. Last week when my dogs went for yearly vacinations the young vet really went on and on admiring the fit trim condition of my 10 year old dog. When he asked what he was fed on, I told him 'raw' and then he started on about the risks - I pointed to the fit trim 10 year old dog and said 'that'll do for me'.
  20. That is a lot of surgery for an animal to cope with. I wonder if it will have a pain free happy life or be riddled with arthritis in no time? I used to watch 'animal rescue' programme at tea time years ago. It showed animal charities scraping stray cats and dogs off the roads and sticking them back together then putting them up for rehoming. I had problems understanding the amount of money that must have cost, but then again, I suppose it made good tv?
