I think it suits some people depending on where they are in their lives. If you haven't got many people for xmas dinner for whatever reason, maybe just the immediate family, then i think it could be good being in a busy country restaurant, for the atmosphere. 90 quid a head seems a typical price but I'd certainly pay it, at least one year to see what its likes. I reckon in a decent pub it'd be sound.

If I had a choice I'd definitely be eating out. Got to be turkey though................. for the soup in the following days. lol Sod Xmas dinner, it's all about the honey roast ham with English mustard and toast for breakfast!

President 'Bigly' is the best thing that could have happened for us in the short term. The most powerful person in the world being behind this is a fantastic f**k you to those that thought they had us in a corner.

Also mate, I've got absolutely no faith that the EU would not cut their nose off to spite us! Even if that risked their own demise through economic collapse or war. That's a good portion of the reason I wanted out. They're f***ing tyrants!

You're talking about these things like they're indisputable facts. Why.... Well maybe so they can f**k us. Besides, we'd need to negotiate a deal and I thought you were against that? I'm not against negotiating a trade deal I am against negotiating the terms of Brexit. Brexit must mean leaving the EU and everything that is associated especially EU regulation, free movement etc. I am very much in favour of working and trading with European countries and yes that requires negotiations. They can try to f**k us but since the Euro crisis never ended and they still very much at

Mate, you know I respect your opinion and I have always known your are a well educated dude but I'm gonna say this again, for once it just dose not need to be that complicated. It's the old chestnut, bullshit baffles brains and politicians are masters at it.......for once let's just do something raw and simple and hold these fuckers upto the light to see what they are really made of. The best example I can think of about how we have been led to think that everything requires lots of big brains and long conversations when it's don't is the foreign office.........we used to run 2/3 of th

So what? We're far more dependent on trade with the EU than any of them because of years of free trade and the proximity. Not to mention the fact that every fecker wants rid of tariff barriers where prosperous, including the countries you list. That doesn't mean that we would be Zimbabwe in the morning, I haven't said that, but it's worth trying for a better option than simply "see-ya". Again, I come back to the fact that the referendum did not address the HOW simply the WHAT. That WHAT was leaving the EU.
-
There's a bit more involved than that though isn't there? The Leave Camp were not in a position to promise anything, simply campaign. The referendum question said nothing of the single market or whatever, in fact I distinctly remember the options after leaving being very hazy. Boris himself was really dodgy in answering exactly what it meant for free movement. You voted for that, not everybody and I'm certain the close result would not have gone our way had it been a clear choice of a hard Brexit or none, more people would have been scared into the status quo. People certainly did not

How can you say that, Norway are out of the EU, would you be happy with us putting ourselves in their position? f**k NO! There are a shit ton of options that would keep us out of the EU. We need the one that best suits us as a country, one that gives us the best economic prospects while at the same time addresses the political situation we are in. We want out of the trade constraints of the single market so as to stimulate greater non-EU trade but surely want a favorable deal to maintain access to it? We want Parliament to be sovereign and therefore control of our borders but would

If that had been the choice we would almost certainly have lost the referendum. People voted out with different things in mind, you can't expect the government or parliament for that matter to just go with one view. There are many different ways of going about leaving the EU, the referendum gave no truly democratic indication to our politicians on how to do that. Just that that's what the electorate want. I said long before the vote that it was only the beginning and if folks think that turning up on a thursday and stamping an X would fix everything then they're delusional. Politics ne

i was hoping you were going to clear up ,,what exactly it is...were all doomed if sheldon aint got a clue LOL, so apparently I recalled it incorrectly and it's actually science journalism, which is basically the reporting of scientific news, unsurprisingly. HAHA a complete false flag! Sorry. Yet it still sounds like an total excuse for existence based on the horrendous way most science is reported!
-
Of course you can't. You have to use the word FACT instead. The world is flat - FACT. That's another one of my 'favourites'. lol

Never mind all that, WTF is Journalism Science? You can't just stick science on the end of something to claim it has some sort of credibility!

I'd like to point out that it's only really South Africa where lions are bred for ranch type hunting. Cecil was a wild lion and was hunted in open country designated for such around the highly protected national parks. The conservancies and private estates that operate in these lands provide conservation minded revenue streams that mean they act as conservation buffer zones between the national parks and the more destructive farming orientated and urbanised areas. I remember mugabe ranting and raging over the death of the lion and seething over the virtual rape of his lands wildlife by white

Will they shoot gazelles impalala or whatever to help a group of cubs or a young pride starting out to get a leg

The sad fact is that an awful lot of members of this forum are no different! This isn't just a problem with traditional Liberals, it's also prevalent across the political and social spectrum. The biggest craze of the 21stC is being outraged, doing a 'like, comment, share' and then signing a petition for 'justice'. At no point does truth, research or evidence come into that process. And we're all guilty of it from time to time.

I'm sure there's a video on YouTube of some fella that buys a canvas from Wilko's or similar for a few quid and puts it in an art exhibition and then films various critics giving their analysis. At the end he tells them the crack to their embarrassment.

Well here's the latest installment of the Cecil trophy hunting saga. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/12/06/trophy-hunting-can-help-lion-conservation-says-government-commissioned/ Controversially the Director of the Oxford University Wildlife Conservation Research Unit has dared to state the obvious. "Where trophy hunting is well regulated, transparent and devolves sufficient authority to the land managers, it has the potential to contribute to lion conservation." The report adds: "The most fundamental benefit of trophy hunting to lion conservation is that it provides a finan

Not many rifles that don't have a moderator on over here. If the police are happy to grant a rifle then a mod is basically a formality.

Is it the video where the fella runs to save his dog from skippy and squares up to it? LOL f***ing great video and probably the most Australian thing I've ever seen! Mans country! If similar happened here there'd be some sort of social justice campaign all over the media with every liberal in a state of emotional outrage. #justiceforskippy #endrooviolence LOL

The Dangers Of Leopard Hunting In Africa

Para in the SA Army to PH in the Dark Continent, the man sounds like the lead character from a nineteenth century novel! What a life. Anyway, part II from this series.... http://www.fieldsportsmagazine.com/Shooting-Stalking/close-calls-part-2.html PS. I've really enjoyed reading some of the many articles from thefieldsportsmagizine.com. Cracking stuff if you're a shooting man with a broad interest. -
I've only skimmed this thread so someone might have already said this... It wouldn't be a question of whether my conscience could deal with the consequences, it would be whether I could look myself in the mirror knowing I took a life for immoral and cowardly reasons. Simply I'd sleep fine, but I'd know in my heart that I'm worthless. I could rationalise killing children if the decision dictated that was the lesser evil but the fact that people die pointlessly all the time is not justification for then taking an unknowns life. There are of course other considerations. What if circum
