bgd is exactly that a gutter journalist I've no need or desire to exchange digs with the fella. On the whole I find myself in agreement with a lot of what he says and in radical opposition to the rest. "Britain First Terrorist"......... Now I'm not gonna get involved in this tit for tat bollocks but that title there is speculative propaganda worthy of a gutter journalist. At this stage you cannot conclusively link the two. It's not right, fair or just to start libelling the group Britain First because the fella is believed to have shared their basic ideology and had his photo taken with them. Well my village did the annual reenactment of the f***ing Blitz on Saturday night! What is it with working class areas having to launch more ordinance into the sky in 3 hours than Syria has seen in 3 years? Every square foot of garden and yard on Sunday morning had the remnants of a rocket of some sort! Pretty sure I could have put a 250 slab through the auto in the garden and no one would have heard it never mind been bothered! LOL

Well that's the law, just because the people and government say one thing doesn't mean that that can happen outside of our established constitutional processes. The whole point in having a parliamentary democracy made up of representatives is to remove the volatility of direct democracy. The referendum is an example of direct democracy. That can still work under the representative system we have so long as we hold them accountable to enact those decisions. We have had Northerlies and Easterlies this autumn because of a prominent high pressure over Europe it is all to do with the NAO North Atlantic Oscillation that controls the two main features of the North Atlantic weather The Icelandic low and the Azores high The pressure difference between those two weather features largely governs the jet streams movement. The bushes and trees were still hanging with fruit in December last winter! There was a massive wild harvest. I don't hold much faith in that old country tale for predicting a hard winter. Wasn't it also reported some bird had the earliest migration on record too? I can't remember what it was (Russian Swans?) but the same old prophets were saying it means a hard winter is coming like something out of Game of Thrones! LOL

Similar situation with a girl I met through my Uni years through mutual mates. Probably only see each other now once a year. Personally, If terms of surrender are agreed then they should be honored. Likewise if the Laws of War are generally being honored then so be it, wounded and captured should get PoW status. But if not and if you decide to stand and fight and get overwhelmed then you made your bed and will lie in it, you're in the hands of your enemy at that point. In WWII SS were executed by the Allies on the battlefield and Commandos got the same treatment by the Nazis. It wasn't Butlins for conventional troops but they got more respectful treatment as wounded or captured by the enemy.
