  1. Just FYI this isn't particularly political for me, I'm not pro-electric and anti-oil as such. I'm pro-environment and both electric and oil can be good and/or bad for that.
  2. It's not cheap or perfectly green at the moment. The tech is in it's infancy really and has taken off and for more reasons than subsidies. It has a lot of benefits over combustion engines and innovation will catch up with the drawbacks imo. Overcoming the energy density difference between batteries and hydrocarbons will truly make it universally better imo.
  3. No mate, I've gone right off podcasts recently tbf. I'm only half an hour into the Mike Baker one. Half fancy this one next.
  4. IMO talk of bans is mostly to get the opinion polls up. The technology will naturally replace the internal combustion engine imo.
  5. Like it or not electric is the future now. But I wouldn't take any politicians promise as fact, it's more a signal of intention.
  6. No, we'd be talking about Russians! LOL. Yeah, all of them, ha! Anyone that named their kids scooter, sluggo and muggsy is fascinating to me.
  7. I've got to be honest, I'm a bit surprised any software at all is needed for an election. I'm watching Mike Baker on Rogan's podcast and imo he hits the nail on the head, elections (and democratic systems more generally) need to be totally transparent through their simplicity. The more technical they become the more scope there is for people calling 'fraud'. It just erodes public trust. It should be so simple that any claims of fraud can so easily be confirmed or dismissed that it becomes bomb proof.
  8. I don't know if this thread has been good or terrible for you lot's blood pressure. I can't really think of any, not sayings at least...... I get a bit annoyed when people say accuracy when they mean precision if that counts?
  9. Dunno if many of you watch it but the new season has been released on Netflix. I got into it last year and really liked it as a sort of drama of British history over the last near century.
  10. Shame. Not that I’m into it all. Totally shocking though asking how an athlete is doing to hear he’s inside for people smuggling! I just liked that he had some athleticism about him.
  11. He did an appearance thing at my gym few years ago. Not really my thing so I didn't go but wouldn't have been far from you either of course. Does Jimmy Marcu (sp?) still compete at any level? He wasn't the typical strongman build so it's a name that stuck with me.
  12. I haven't read the whole thread but has someone mentioned the nose piercing? Thank god I don't watch F1, I'd be deeply conflicted!
  13. Seven Years in Tibet Quite a bit of history portrayed and with a decent cast. I quite like finding films from 20 years ago.
  14. Managed some ‘outdoor recreation’. Getting some sport in this lockdown!
  15. It's a P38..... so despite the overwhelming evidence that it's stuck, it's more likely broken down!
  16. I love how this has turned into a race to show up socks! No one gives a f**k about the deceased anymore, just beating the reaper!
  17. Tried a lurcher, had some fun, but not sure they suit me. Yes mate.
  18. How the hell did they end up with Hillary when they had Tulsi? How the hell did they end up with Biden when they had Bernie? What the f**k is wrong with the system when any sane person can see the wrong people are winning the races.
  19. Yeah he loves his stockman Something about beaters and waxed cotton, I f***ing hate the stuff personally.
  20. This thing I like. First gen sprocker but the size of a big cocker. Real business like work style, not wappy, and runs on f***ing diesel I’m sure. Seen a half brother to it which threw more springer and was exactly the same and I’m crossing my fingers for another half sister very soon as it’ll likely be the last of that stuff and it’ll give me options for the future.
  21. I wouldn’t dismiss it it seems a fair question. Probably much more experienced folk than me to answer. I like a cocker personally. But to be perfectly honest a spaniel is a spaniel to me. I know folks will wax lyrical about the differences but other than size there ain’t a whole heap. Cockers these days are bred for the same job springers are. Im a great lover of a heavy cocker. Something with a good head and jaw, paws like a bear and bone to match. I’m not a huge fan of the real racey little things or those leggy springers. Not that they can’t work just as well like, just what catches my
  22. And if you really want to talk about work, look at the dog on the keepers bike in September before all the ‘dogmen’ have even started. That dog will be putting in ten miles everyday of the week dogging in.
