That is exactly what is wrong with this fecking country. It beggars belief that our money was spent on taking this old lad to court over a fecking squirrell. The people that made that decision should be sent to Iraq or Aafgan and be made to find out at first hand what is important in life. His neighbours want fecking linching for sticking him in, too many spineless people in this country pulling the strings. If this happened in France he would have been bollocked by his neighbour for sticking too much lead in it prior to it going on the barbecue...........what a fecking shit poor excuse of
i was wondering when that would surfus
My mate was knocking off a bit on the side and used to keep his 'kit' stashed in a bramble bush up the road so his mrs wouldnt find out. i went with him one day when he dived into the bush and came out with a morrisons carrier bag with a big pink dildo in it . Funniest thing was the mice had been at it and it was nibbled to feck but he just said "feck it she wont notice in the dark" and he revved it up
If its a Chiffchaf or WIllow Warbler it wasn't taken recently as they are all tucked up in Africa mate. It's a young warbler for sure but not taken recently.
Not all of them buddy......
Ok Mr Smarty pants........nearly all of them ..........still not taken recently though unless your going to enlighten me again

Yep that's it Remi, been feeding a flood where good numbers have been but with all the water the duck are spoilt for choice. At the moment I have a few mallard teal and wigeon holding but I can't believe that a good numb of Shelduck are dropping in ! They used to be a coastal duck but am seeing them more often inland nowerdays
He's a character, outspoken........sometimes right and occasionally wrong........but it's a lot more entertaining when he's on his soap box, that is for sure. I'm no MU fan but it will be a sad loss when he hangs up his hair dryer lol.
Yes without a shadow of a doubt it should still attract wild birds. I shoot a relatives pond occasionally which is about the same distance away from the farmhouse. It has good numbers of mallard, tufties and teal. Might be an idea to plant some fast growing bushes round it to give it a touch of privacy. Best of luck.
Yes Euilleam, have a place on the west coast where a pair of Mute swans follow me round like a pair of Labradors hoovering up the barley as fast as I put it in........a real pain..........any suggestions to deter them I wonder lol
Les, was out last night flighting my patch. Had watched the night before as Greylag and duck came in.........but last night.......not a lot came ! I think there is too much water about......too much choice for them. We finished the night with a cock Teal and a lovely cock WIgeon. Could here the geese moving......made the pulse race a little faster but they were down on a stubble somewhere.
Thanks Les, am going to hit it on Saturday. watched what was coming in tonight and suprised to see 3 Shelduck flop in and start hoovering up my barley Lots of geese milling round and pleased to see some mallard and teal coming in late doors aswell
As title suggests, will Geese bully duck off a flight pond. I have about 50 Greylag coming into a smallish flood and im not really fussed for shooting a lot more (got a few in freezer).
What i really want is to get a good build up of duck coming in before i hit it again. Im sticking in a sack of barley everyday at the moment
One came right past the end of my mates nose as we sat by a flight pond waiting for duck. I was waiting for the shot but the poor lad never saw it..........could have hit it with his gun !
Yes
I have recently been disturbing Wood cock at night..
Lamping baren feilds looking for foxes..
Same land never see them by day..
Were crop feilds that have never had a chance to be poughed again this time of year they are normally grass but they remain stubble (mud really Now ) from the summer cut..
There is no cover they are just there and lifting due to being disturbed..
Would hazard a guess with the ground being so wet they are there feeding ??
I aint no bird expert but they are 100% woodcock
Yes Giro, the Woodcock is a nocturnal feeding bird so you w
