What Age Do You Start Your Pups Lamping?
TOMO replied to Dranny GLC's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
In most respects,, I don't think it matters,, I've seen dogs started from having there jabs,,like some on here do,,,I have also started some of my dogs at around 6 month age,,, and have started dogs at around 1 year old.. And I wouldn't say those dogs started early are better,,,not a chance... But there no worse either,,, I also don't hold with dogs that are started early,, get used to gates and all the rest of it,,, cos if your doing things right there doing all this in the day... I do believe in getting them out though from an early age,, daytime walks mooches,, or ferreting,,, -

Are you sure about that,,it's a bold statement ,,, about yank hares,, I remember reading the book about coursing in America ,, what's his name famous fella from there used to come over here for the Waterloo ,,, I remember there's quite a few different species of hare over there,, and some sub species,, I'm sure I read some are very hard to catch indeed.. Back to the first post,, maybe the courses weren't very long,,, also some of those yank whippets are very big,, as big as greyhounds..

That top pic is impressive Andy,,, not so much the dog not bothering the ewe,,,, but the fact the ewe let the dog get so close,, normaly they just do one to the other side of the field,,,

Dust bin Trev also had the skill of being able to eat 3 frozen chicken fillets in the time it took me to have a pisss  That kelpie of mine,,used to winde one of my mates right up,, I'm sure she new what she was doing,,, one time she jumped threw his car window,, wich was down,,, and ate about 3-4 loaves of bread,,, he had bought,, the mess in the back of his shiny new Subaru impretza was something to behold,,, plastic bread wrappers torn to shreds,,, bread crumbs,,, and a fat kelpie stretched out on his back seat,,,

Vindaloo ,, is to hot for my tastes.. An easy quik cheat rabbit stew is very simple,,,and very tasty . Chop stock veg in a pot,, carrot,, onion,, leak,, rabbit portions,,, Now the cheat stuff,,, colmans chicken casserole ,, comes as a powder in a packet,, ad water ,, also a stock cube,, and some dried herbs,,, I used basil, tyme and mixed herbs,, about a teaspoon each,,, The water should come above all meat and veg,,, cook for 2 hours,, in the oven ,,,after the 2 hours take the meat out,, remove the bones and put meat back in and also the chopped potatoes,, cook for another 45
