  8. that keto stuff is similar to paleo .....wich is another fascinating subject and incredibly healthy way of eating.....however its very tuff to stick to in todays world...and both are along the same lines as the warrior diet...wich like yours is done with a fasted part of the day....usualy a 4-6 hour window to eat in the eavening .... yeh I remember vince gironda from when I used to buy the bodybuilding mags in the late 80-s and early 90,s....
  9. its a very intresting subject francie.....its the way most average humans should look to loose weight....those complex carbs and sugars should be the first thing out of a diet for your average human ..or at least cut them right back....but of course it still comes down to a simple formular of calories in against calories out.... however for most athaleats I think some complex carbs...some fiberouse carbs and some sugars...mainly fructose are vital....but that doesn't mean you cant keep them low if nessasery .......interestingly though..i think its the brain that only functions on carbs...

  12. thankfully I'm the same....I could drink an esspreso and go to sleep.....never been an issue for me sleep.... if you look at all the strongmen competiters now they all get them sleep app machines cos most of them suffer with sleep apnia....I think its one of things that thor attributes to winning wsm this year ..getting the machine and getting his sleep right..... going back to hormones ...most folk know if you have a low acting thyroid you will struggle to loose weight.....because of this docs prescribe thyroxin I think its called...but in some cases they can raise there own levels
  13. mate in most cases trt...is just a cop out for taking gear....(might get a blood test see if I can get any lol) sleep...oh yes...the amount of stuff I have read about that it affects is incredible.....circadian rhythm ...in a nutshell its programed in to us to sleep between 10-6 or 11-7.....it goes back in our dna a billion years or summat to stone age times...that's why long term nightsift workers live less.... did you know eating banana and pineapple an hour befor bed raises your serotonin levels hugely wich makes for better sleep..

  15. think theres at least 3 in Nottingham....but like most crossfit gyms.....I will not say box.....there fecking expencive......but I hear good things about a place at farndon....its not a cross fit gym...but they do a good bit of functional training and strongman stuff......

I still lift..3-4 times a week....I have to work round a fecked rotator cuff but there you go...if It wernt for that I would have deffo started doing cross fit....watch loads of it on youtube.. but I still dead lift ...squat and bench of course...although these days I much prefer front squat cos of my shoulder...it gives me severe pain trying to hold the bar in a low bar position and not much better high bar...so I front squat..but have to do the crossed arms method cos a cant rack it as you would in a clean

    yep a big well done to lewis....would have liked him to have won the race yesterday...but you cant win them all.... and you have to feel for rickardo....hes a genuine nice fella and to not finish again when they were doing so well...will he regret staying in a Renault powered motor next season??
  19. nice one neil still a good day....we had the same issue on Wednesday ....wind blowing a gale lifting purse nets off.....after the first set I didn't bother....and just put the long nets out along a ridge on a bank...did the sets below..and between the dogs longnet and digs we got a respectable catch....mind all the slack in the net was blowing up to each peg

  22. I very much dowt if that mk2 is worth anything.....there were issues with it...I think they only work with one collar ..and have a short battery life
