yes i also had a ferts of abbot brothers, they railed mine to retford station £5.50 each they cost. i had 3, 2 polcat jills and a hob, big lean thing i called fred he was like a yellow brindle thing, i had never seen owt this colour, but of course we now call this colour silver , and is fairly common. this was all about 25 years ago

i know warrener gets some stick for some of his films, but he did a very intresting article recently for earth dog running dog about old time warreners , there were some good pics about 100 years old and some clippings from exchange and mart i think with lurchers for sale and a number of these were Irish terrier cross's. in some of the old pics you could see the difrence between the colie types and the terrier types. just goes to show its not a new thing experimenting with the terrier types

well i hope you do enter the compition superstriker as i think sombody needs to represent the minshaw strain, and like andy said his is probly a little bit to old. dont wory about the ground being to hard as its not going to start till october. and whoever you get drawn against you can sort out between the 2 of you when to run. for example if its a full moon or there has been a frost you can leav it a few days. so come on get your name down, i would refaree( love to see one of your minshaws run) unlees im drawn against you

out in the middle east were saluki's come from, they are trained to retrive the desart hare alive so they can kill it ( ritual slaughter, halal) and these are pure saluki's

just been up in the dales today getting some moor permision for our lurcher club, the first farm we went on had one of those lovly lightly built colies that had just finished moving some cattle. i sad to the lads its the sort that would make a nice cross with a greyhound. and the last one we sor was just like the one chalkie put up in the pic yes there are some nice types out there on some of those remote hil farms

there are no right or wrong answers to your question mate, if you ask a question like that evrybodys answer will be diffrent. unlike kane in the last post i would go for bitsa type , but thats just my opinion. you see no right or wrong answers a few things most will agree on is 1..the bitch has to be worth breeding of in your opinion. 2 the sire has to be a good dog doing the kind of work you require. 3 the resulting pups should be of the type you require ie dont put to a beddy whippet if you want a hare dog ect .. ect its all just common sence realy

THIS IS NOT A BIG SCORE I KNOW BUT IT WAS DONE VERYY QUIKLY, HAD 3 OUT OF 3 WITH VISA 2 OF 1 SLIP. ALSO SALLY GOT ONE. SO 4 IN TOTAL IN 45 MINS IN DECEMBER 2003 ON FLAT LAND.. I THEN HAD TO GET BACK TO THE MOTOR WITH THESE 4 BIG OLD HARES IN MY COAT WITHOUT GETTING MY COLLER FELT :ph34r:
