I have witnessed a hare go up a hollow tree that was off the ground at an angle..it went right up to head hight..it was quite rotted and had small holes in ..could have touched the hare or even grabed it....but it was left in peace...that was after a good course well befor the ban.. seen a few rabbits and hares take to rivers to escape dogs... seen a kangaroo run in to a tree and kill its self in oz with a lurcher on it arse.... lik

that is an unusual one jiggy...black and tan...very apt for Ireland ... had all colours...had multipull blacks out of warrens in the past...also had double sandy's out of a warren.....had plenty blues and gingers ...the one colour ive never caught is a white...and the only time I have ever seen a genuine wild white ...was in france ... I think the first ever catch on camera that bonnie my present lurcher did was a black....vin has it on film....if he sees this thread he may put it up

take the pipes out?? cardboard box slightly smaller then the sleeping box...so it fits in......fill with straw....tape the top down...cut a small hole in one end just big enough for ferrets to get in...make the hole half way up the box keeps the drafts out.... they will find it difficult to drag the straw out of it....and after a week or two depending on how mucky it gets just drop it in the bin and start again

I'm only a mere 20 mile north of you....and i have no clue what......"line a chunk" means???....anybody??

exactly my point....most lads running daytime on the seed would feed a normal meal the night befor...so the dog has 12 hours or so to digest....same with lads going ferreting the next morning...bushing ...foxing whatever......nobody that goes out first thing in the morning hunting....would have fed the dog the morning befor ie 24 hours earlier.... yet loads of lads still persist with this theory in lamping....

thought it said stoney geek for a second...
-
isn't that something to do with real large dogs like deerhounds....and i think running them straight after a feed....
-
havnt dogs got one of the quickest digestive systems in the animal world....it was proberbly on here but I read they can digest a belly full in 8 hours... i feed at tea time if I'm off out midnight and after....then when they have finished running they get another bowl full...

25+ years ago a mate had a [BANNED TEXT] nice Gsd/grey x bull/grey.....on paper it sounds like a horrible mix....but I will be honest it was a handsome creature...at the time he had a bull grey as well....both the same hight and colour...but the gsd.bull.grey was a tad longer....it was strong but athletic with it...it was smoth coated and like I say a real looker...but it was a good worker an all...watched it put 20 odd rabbits in the bag out on lincolnshires big flat arable fields where there not easy....as well as a brace of fallow does and a brace of fox...like I say a bloody good dog
