my humble opinion is theres too many bull shiters on here and in the terrier world , for anybody too take another mans word on a line , people out crossing and keeping the name , either for money or there title ,......... I do like reading and listening too terriermen but nothing is gospel and call it what you like , breed for your purpose , as long as it does what you want you carry the line on , close friends you can trust , bull shiters soon get worked out ...

not my cup of tea too be honest , now is there time , but if the keeper rings and I can get away with it , I would relocate ,illegal or not , but if the keeper wants them shot then there is no choice , don't do it and loose the permission , I personally do whats instructed on shoots , I don't hold any grudge on keepers shooting cubs or foxes anytime of the year , that's there business , I would preserve anywhere else , and don't agree with publicizing killing cubs ,..........hate narrow minded people who think its clever killing fox cubs , any idiot can pull a trigger , takes a genius too tr -

I would put something you know well through generations of breeding and work , as no matter what a lurcher looks like , it can throw up some out cross back in the line , you don't always get what you see , do your homework, be safe

I agree with dytkos , if a fox has ran through under pressure and pair of hounds have marked it , a good dog will and can go through with no one at home ,......... if hounds mark to no avail then a terrier can go through too no avail, scent still being fresh , obviously the pair of hounds casted on too see if it just ran over or through, as said earlier this time of year can slow a good dog up underground , imo

this time of year , can be testing for man and dog , two cold marks yesterday , both were right , one heavy vixen left too have her litter , , season needs too finish and some packs have and rightly so,.
