  1. OI you !! Those springy twangy things are no good , get a nice PCP Fair play to you, Craig!! I like my twangy things...
  2. Hi, Josh and welcome I'll maybe be meeting you this weekend as I'm off shooting with your Dad. Don't bother with those blow up guns, stick to proper kit like your Dad's Cheers.
  3. That's given me the best laugh I've had for ages!!!!
  4. Planting people? How deep do you set them? Six feet down. He shoots in a cemetery
  5. Well the Whittlesey Gunshop knocked that one out to the rife for under £300, with that scope fitted so not that much more expensive.I went for Stingray myself as I like the Hatsan made guns... Was that new?? Are they German built? Like I said, I don't know the 280 but that sounds like very good value Yep brand new, he had only just got it in and he was rather pleased to have that rifle in, then it went! Sounds like you and your Mrs got a bit of a bargain there, result!!

  7. Hatsan are probably about the best of the cheaper new stuff but they're still not a patch on a good quality used rifle. If you buy a cheap gun new, you'll probably want to 'up grade' at some point in the fairly near future and you'll loose cash when you part-ex, sell, whatever. A used gun's already suffered depreciation so if you buy well and look after what you've bought, it'll always be worth pretty much what you've paid for it. Cheers But the Hatsan is well made and is a gun you can keep! I have one and speak from experience. I only went for a Stingray as I wanted a .177

  9. Nice right-up, S.E.Mole I've never had anything to do with the 280 but I'm a big fan of Diana's guns in general, properly good quality kit. I'm on my second 52 at the moment, a 45 when I was a lad and a Mod 50, all at least as good as any of their rivals. It's just a shame they've always been a tad more expensive than most of the oposition otherwise I'm sure they'd be a lot more popular than they are.... Cheers.
  10. Now that's a class film Sad ending though...
  11. Hi, mate. If you're on a tight budget, buy used not new. Anything either German or Air Arms. Doesn't really matter too much about the model (unless weight's an issue ) just stay away from cheap sh*te Webley used to do some lovely springers before they moved production to Turkey Buy cheap, buy twice.... Cheers. Edit... Can't feckin' spell today
  12. I'll second what Simon's said about Wighill Park Guns. Very helpful and a really nice well stocked shop It's a bit of a distance from where I live but it's worth the trip as nearly all the shops around Leeds aren't worth a w**k
  13. Ohhh yes ! I'd never seen silent bob and jay before. It cracked me up The one liners in that film really are first class and the way they have such a clever pop at the whole organised religion thing is right up my street!!
  14. Dogma. Best film I've seen in years, had me in bits start to finish
  15. Hi, lads. I'd just like to say thanks to Benji for being a top bloke to deal with He's the new owner of my old Lightning, as sweet a deal as I could've wished for. Cheers, Benji
  16. It does sound like a giggle this knock-down lark. The only time I've ever tried it before was at a very informal do at Davy's a couple of years back. I'm looking forward to trying my 90 out at the next meet I'm sure I can miss just as well as anyone!!!! Cheers.
  17. A mate of mine told me that his Astra 1.7 Dti on a 51 plate that's exactly the same as my own car runs better on red than regular derv.... but then he only uses it on the farm
  18. Reckon it's been done to death and no, I don't want my drive re tarmacked....
  19. I would of, they're f*****g nuts! Why do you think I married a Jock..? Wish I'd spoken to you 15 years ago!!!!
  20. ST's scope's very good value for money, Brad They're a really nice bit of kit within their price range. If I was in the market for another scope, I'd deffo take a sniff at that.
  21. By Blood you'd be Half English, quarter Welsh quarter Irish. You are what you feel you are IMO. If you've been born and bred in England and you're half English by blood anyway, and you feel English then that's what you are. Just because you say you are one, it don't mean to say you hate the others or anything like that. And that's a very good point that so many folks seem to miss.... I'm half Irish by blood and I love going to Ireland but I was born and bred in England so that's what I'd class myself as. I married a Welsh lass, once upon a time..... Big mistake but that was
  22. If I'm ever anywhere near your van, I promise not to take a dump anywhere near it.... Nice shot.
  23. How cool's that????!!!! Any jobs going...?? Beautiful looking spot, Mark, shame about the clapper board....
