  1. Right then, so this bloke with a shop full of Hatsans says they're wonderful, now there's a surprise Have you ever actually had any time with a top line springer, Mr Mole???? Come on now, be honest.... Cheers.
  2. And tag-nuts..... Dunno 'bout you part of the world, but round here a tag nut is a little clump of the smelly brown stuff that gets caught on your hairs between the lower cheeks of the anatomy I've never had s aproblem with tag nuts on my babies Yup, same here, Tony. Just having a little joke with Ghillies and Archie above
  3. ^as I thaught andy, also I think if the bottle is over a certain pressure and sieze, I think it is classed as a pressure vessle and you may not even be able to store it legally and the money you save will probably go on the first mandatory annular inspection. Bottles you can get for 70quid second hand, save yourself the bother mate .atb. .ste. Yup and also he'll not find any reputable company that'll fill any non spec cylinder. It's just a non starter for so many reasons....
  4. Oxygen cylinders are the highest pressure rated welding kit but even then the max pressure is 200 bar and most cylinders are rated a lot lower than that, certainly the ones that BOC or whoever sell to the general public. It's just one of those things that ain't worth messing around with the wrong kit, I've seen what can happen when very high pressure gas goes tits up and it's really not good.....
  5. I understnd that, mate but with very high pressure gas, you just can't feck about with the wrong kit. It will end in tears. At best you'll ruin your gun. at worst you'll ruin yourself. Jokeing aside, as Archie's said if you can't stretch to the proper gear, sell it and buy a decent springer What Im saying if my welding bottle if safe to use it would last me alot longer as it is a much bigger bottle than your diving bottle Whatever welding bottles you've got, they won't be rated at anywhere near a high enough pressure. Just don't do it, mate. Please...???

  7. Mate, you've got to do it properly or it's going to end very badly for you......!!!!!
  8. As long as it's properly filtered, you'll be fine The only downside is when you're hunting it's doubley important to keep down wind of your quarry but at least with the special sphincter adapter, you can keep your gun topped up while you're out and about.... Cheers ....instead of a diving bottle I could take a little fat kid and a bag of broccoli. Little fat kids are OK when static shooting or from a hide but they tend to crash about a bit when mooching and they'll keep pestering you for sweets which can mess up a man's concetration Honestly, the sphincter adapter

  10. You can't fill up a PCP with Co2, mate. The two gasses are totally incompatable and anyway, there's nowhere near enough pressure in a Co2 tank to fill up a gun, just forget about it
  11. Not sure where I am.... Bit vague as to where I've been and I'm fecked if I know where I'm going......
  12. Glad you got it sorted out, Brad
  13. I'm 6'2" as well and have a fairly long reach. I've either owned or used pretty much all of the HW springers and I've never found a problem with the stock length, maybe the one that SEM tried had been shortened by someone because they are most definatley not like that as standard. Fit is important but not to the same extent as a shotgun, the best thing to do is try to handle as many types of gun as you can as it's a very personal thing. Cheers.
  14. The King Ratty uses the larger 88g bottles and you get around 150 reliable shots from one
  15. There was a nickle plated one on here a couple of years back that I wanted to buy but sadly there was a fault with the gun and by the time it was fixed, I couldn't justify the cost Lovely guns, I shot with one many years ago and fell in love with it. Perfect rifle for me, self contained, no recoil, nice bit of heft to it, lovely...... Cheers.

  18. I can fetch the bow over no problem, the biggest thing's the bloody back-stop but I'll manage to fit the guns and all the other kit in my car one way or another Either or, Simon. I'll fit in with you guys, I don't want to impose If you're up for a bit give me a call, or we'll speak towards the weekend. Cheers
  19. Looking forward to it, Simon I was thinking of bringing my crossbow too, something a bit different for you both to try maybe?? Cheers
  20. I've a King Ratty and I really rate it. Co2's a funny thing though, it does have it's limits that you've really got to get to know, understand and get used to. If you're looking at one as your main gun though, look elsewhere. Have a look on the search function that this site has and loads of info will come up, mate Cheers.
