  1. If I remember rightly on the very early Airsporters, the centre rod in the piston unscrews but it's a very long time since I worked on one with a leather washer. On the later models, there's a small roll pin that goes through the side of the nylon washer so make sure it's clean and see if it's held on that way before you try to unscrew the rod. Good luck, mate. Cheers.
  2. Surely you mean dog ju jitsu...?? That's more to do with pressure points
  3. A warning to us all.... Don't toot ket before posting.....
  4. I think John's post is perfectly clear, maybe you should read it again, Mole.
  5. Hang on, is this the Cometa I've offered to fix...?? What's the deal here then??
  6. Nice one Andy. thats very good of you. this is why i like this forum Andy ps spa for beeing a darn good chap. Thanks, Andy. Spoke to the OP via PM so we'll see what happens. Give me a shout if you want my help, Rob Cheers.
  7. Nice one, Si Big congrats to you and all the folks involved. Best of luck with the sales, mate. Cheers
  8. They're a nice rifle those 98s but they really are little more than a 95 in a party frock and they do cost a lot more, all you're getting over a 95 is the adjustable stock For the money you may be better off with the 95 then sending it off for a proper tuneing. Sandwell keeps on getting good reps from a few lads on here who know what's what but I've never delt with them personally.
  9. That's a shame. HW do use a lot of interchangeable parts on quite a few different models, sorry it's not the case with yours. Cheers.
  10. Hi, Ryan. I know the 95's action is the same as the 98's but I'm not sure about the 99 Have a look on the Chamber's web site and cross reference the part numbers for the gun's cylinder, if they're the same it'll fit. Cheers.
  11. There's a lot of truth in those statements, they really made me laugh in a sadly ironic way...
  12. I'm good, Simon, hope you are too How are you fixed for Sunday??
  13. Hey, Simon. We didn't get to spend much time with my .20 90 last time out but .20 shoots a lot closer to .22 in practice as the pellets tend to weigh about the same, 12 to 15 grains. The Dynamics I use tip in at 12 so there is a lttle advantage tragectory wise over most .22 ammo but not that much in the real world. Cheers
  14. I'm a big fan of both .20 and gas-ram guns The Evo in .20 is a double Marmite gun, some folks love the Evo and some folks hate it. Same with the .20 caliber.... If someone wants one you'll get top dollar for it but you need to find the right buyer first. They are rather rare to say the least. Good luck Cheers.
  15. so if football is only a game is monopoly only a sport ....sport is sport and games are games,simple.......and then you got darts My eldest lad plays football for his school and he loves it but him, his mate's and the coach all refer to it as a game which is what it is. Of course Monopoly and the like aren't sport, you're just being pedantic. It's only my opinion, Gnash. Right or wrong... To be honest mate, I wish I did like the game, my boys do and most of my mates do too so I do feel a bit left out sometimes
  16. Can anyone tell me where the R10's are made?? Are they really British Small Arms or are they farmed off to Turkey or Spain like most other 'British' guns these days?? Just wondering.... Cheers.
  17. What like scrabble,monopoly....ludo perhaps ? If my memory serves me correct sport is " a physical activity governed by a set of rules engaged in competetively ".....footie not a sport Fair comment, Gnash but it's still only a game however you look at it
  18. Good luck with your mate's sale, Craig, that'll make a cracking tool for someone at that price
  19. Each to their own.... I don't like football, in fact anything played with a ball is lost on me One thing I do know about footie is it's not a 'sport', it's a game.
  20. I use a Luger 3-9x42 CF scope on my Diana 52 that's PX fixed at 100 yards, not really ideal for an airgun but.... Set the eye bell focus so that the X hair's in the right focus for whatever range you're zero range is then just make sure you're looking very carefully through the centre line of your scope and paralax won't be an issue Cheers.
  21. Tell you what, I'm only 10 mins away from Wakey down the M1 from where I live. If you want I'll take a look at the gun for you, I used to fix airguns for a living many moons ago, I'm pretty sure I can sort your Cometa. PM me if you'd like me to have a look, advice is always free
  22. OK, so when you pull the barrel back now there's no resistance from the spring? It just feels slack??
  23. no mate the trigger wont budge its just solid won't let me press it in at all.. Is the gun cocked now?
  24. You should be fine with that, mate. If it's a dedicated RF scope it'll be PX set at around 75 yards but that shouldn't be a problem on your so long as you're careful and looking dead centre through the scope. Cheers.
