    If you're useing a decent lamp it won't make any difference at all about the lense size, any half decent scope is fine for lamping so long as you've a good lamp. What you'll notice is as the light starts to fail, a larger lense will gather a little more light before you need to switch the lamp on but TBH, there will be very little noticable difference between those two in practice.     I never got them andy and nobody has recieved the biz mags i sent out either i did recieve some rws off rossi and some accupell from walshy, i resent some more biz mags to the lads but as of yet they still havent got them, and it doesnt seem like they ever will, now i have none left and feel like abit of a s**t to be honest, i genuinely sent those pellets twice and havent got a clue what has happened mate Oh, FFS!!!     If you'd include Ghillies for the abstract and Gurtwurz for the dry wit, Phantom for his skill and dedication, J Darcy for vast experience, Jasper for his calming influence, bring back Scuba just 'cos he's a right giggle if a little mad (no offence, Mike ), Buster for saying it exactly as it is, Davy for his imput, vids and help he's given to so many, Malt for being, well Malt really and many of the other regulars who don't talk sh*te or make daft claims and help the forum out in general......     Have you considered a good head torch? I use a Led Lenser with a 150 lumens bulb and a red filter modded from a mates, don't know the make. It has an adjustable beam and power and it lasts me for an all night sesh or two on a set of batteries, the only down side for me is that rechargeable ones don't last very long so it's a case of 3 good AAA's every other trip out. I've never been a fan of gun mounted lamps, mainly 'cos I use springers but also I can't be doing with wires and sh*t hanging off my rifle. Cheers.

    It's a well old looking 35, Davy, the stock threw me off 'til I had a closer look. Is that the one you had in bits? Does it still have the original leather piston seal??

    Hi, John. It's a bit like the 'which caliber's best' question, you'll get many different opinions from folks who are all convinced there's is the right one...!! There's nothing wrong with any of the scopes you've listed, IMO out of the ones you have, I'd go for the 3.5-10x50. 10x is more than enough for an airgun and 3.5 will give you a nice clear picture for close range shooting while the nice big 50mm lense will be useful when the light starts to fade. Cheers. PS.... I can't remember the last time I had any of my scopes on anything other than 6x for feild use.

How hard can it be to let us know a few simple details like how old you are, whereabouts in the world you're from, the rifle/s and scopes you own. What type of shooting you like. What's the problem? All you got to do is say hi I'm so and so from wherever and I shoot with a wotsit in .22/.177 and I'm X years old and I'd like to know more about....
