  1. If 'what goes up must come down' and you're getting grief then maybe it'd better come down pretty feckin' sharpish
  2. Good luck with it, Steve, sounds like you've landed a really nice little spot there
  3. Does your rifle not speak to you, Simon???? Mine does........ It tells me good things.......... Never bad.......... I know the voices are real 'cos they tell me so........ Always good things, never bad. Never BAD. NEVER BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers.............
  4. Just keep on asking around, mate My most productive shoot is an hours drive from where I live, it's only small but it's a cracking spot for bunnies when the weather's a bit better, there's feck all about just now though... I got it through a friend of a friend of a friend, so to speak. A mate of mine was having a random chat with someone at his local Flat Coat Retrievers club and someone else got into the conversation and happened to mention they were having rabbit problems on their small holding, my mate passed on my number and BINGO!!! a lovely little spot. Stick with it, mate,
  5. And what was that story line where Dread was chucked out into the Cursed Earth, all disfigured and alone with no memmories?? Jesus, this takes me back!!!
  6. Just another thought, Brad...... While you're on Youtube, see if you can find any of John Darlings vids too. They're a few years old now so don't expect to see loads of high tech kit but his knowledge of fieldcraft and air gun shooting technique are very well explained by a bloke who really knew his stuff too Cheers.
  7. Hi, Simon. I can't do this weekend, I've got my boys over. I'm free for the next one though, if that suits you? I'll give you a call this evening. Cheers
  8. No worries, Brad See if you can find some of Si's (zini) vid's on here or Youtube, they'll help to answer a lot of your questions much better. All I can do is words, Si's vids can take you through it much better than I can Edit to say.... As I've said, don't get sucked in to all the techno stuff, you've really got to get to grips with the basics first...
  9. I remember being gutted when they killed off Strontium Dog!!
  10. I used to collect 2000 AD when I was a kid. I had every copy for the first three years or so until my mum (potty sod...) decided they'd been in a box 'gathering dust ' for too long and binned the lot.....
  11. All barrels even of the same make don't shoot the same but as a general guide, try RWS SuperDomes and SuperFields, also H and N FTTs, those pellets seem to work very well in most HW barrels.
  12. Fair comment, Brad. The best advice I could give you is to get as much practice on targets as you possibly can before going after live quary. Good on you for asking questions but don't get too hung up on technology before you've got a handle on the basics. Take your time, mate, practice then practice some more. Set up your zero, 25-30 yards is a good starting point then practice at as many different ranges as you can. Your maximum killing range is whatever range you can place pretty much all your shots within around a 20mm circle. Good luck with it, fella Cheers.
  13. Great post, Simon Is your TX really that hold sensative? I've never owned a TX but I've used one of the other lads from heres one and it didn't seem to suffer from that problem to the extent your's does, that sounds rather extreme... Funny things, airguns... Wait 'til you've tried my 90 My 52's rather more, erm.... user sensative (less than most springers though...) but the HW's a peach. So then, my place or yours...? A -hem.... Cheers.
  14. Have a fag!!!! No don't..... Good luck to you all, I know how you feel. Twice.... All will be well, mate, wishing you all the best. Cheers
  15. I'm not being funny, Lampingboy but have you ever actually used 'your' 410? You've been asking about lamps saying that you'd not be shooting at 'over 100 meters', mildot scopes, NV and now lazer rangefinders...... We've all got to start somewhere and a little range time is a good place to set off from before getting into high tech kit 'cos you don't even seem to understand the very basic fact that you may have to aim a little higher when the range increases.... You say you've shot before but not for some time, fair enough but didn't your previous experience even teach you the most
  16. Thanks for the PMs, all now replied to and photo's sent
  17. Good luck with the sale, Bill, they'll do someone very well for those prices
  18. Hi, mate. I use a .20 90 and I really rate them I've never owned an Evo and it's been quite a while since I last used one. How would you compare the two? I didn't really rate the Theoben's trigger compared to the HW's and from what I remember about them, they had quite a sharp kick compared to the 90? I know the Evo's a bit lighter than the 90 but most of my shooting's done standing so I prefer a little extra weight. I just wondered how you'd compare the two? Cheers
  19. Hi, mate. Webley do a slip on moderator that'll fit straight on to your Airsporter. I've had a few of those on springers and they will cut down the muzzle noise a fair bit, they're very well made too. Cheers.
  20. TBH, Ian, I'm not sure. I'll have a look on BSA's web site and see if I can place it by the gun's number. PMs replied to and pics sent
  21. Thanks for the comments, lads. It's been on long term loan with a mate of mine but he got himself an HW90 (same as me!!) a little while back so it's just sitting around doing nothing so someone may as well get some use from it. Cheers
  22. Have a look on AWT's web site, they make the rams for Theoben and they have a list of all the available kits
  23. Hi, folks. Selling my UK built Lightning with Theoben gas ram conversion. .22, good overall condition. Simmons 8 Point 1.5-5x32 scope. Full tin of RWS Super Domes. The trigger's been re worked so along with the ram, it's a lot better to shoot than a standard Lightning. It's a well sorted little gun. £150 OVNO. I'm based in Leeds and would prefer a face to face deal but will consider posting at the buyer's expense. I can't upload pics to the site but if you PM me your email address, I can send you some. Cheers.

  25. I'd like to try some of these newer SMKs myself just to see what they're like. Like many others, the only dealings I've had is with B2s and the like, I'm fixing up a B2 right now for a friends son and it'll be interesting to see what it's like once the rough edges have been smoothed off, a decent spring fitted and properly lubed Cheers.
