  1. Maybe it's ironic marketing by Durex? They know cocks are going on the inside so they thought why not put them on the outside as well
  2. It's a bit like when Concorde was grounded, we seem to have taken a step backwards. The Shuttle was always an over expensive, over complicated system (typical good old USA) but it was what it was, a human achivement and now it's gone
  3. Yep Shame Buttermilfs no longer with us, she'd have liked it too...... Especially the paddle
  4. Great find!! And only ten dollars, bargain!!
  5. I saw on the news today that NASA has just launched the last ever space shuttle mission. They've run out of funding, apparently The worrying thing for me is if the richest country in the world has run out of cash for something like this, how bad really is the world economy?? The Yanks are now having to use Russian rockets to get their people and gear into space...

    nice

On a grey rainy day in Leeds that's cheared me up. Nice find
  7. I had a 26 inch Master S/S for many years and it's one of the best rough guns I've ever had, great from a hide Never tried it on a post office though...
  8. Paul was keen as mustard, he's fairly new to shooting. He's been out with me a few times on one of my permissions near Halifax and has been over to Simon's a couple of times before with me. Predation, mixy and poachers have hammered the rabbits over there in recent months. I did nail one in the woods but I lost it in thick ground cover After that I spent most of the weekend getting steadily pissed by the fire!!
  9. Sorry, Davy, it was a last minute thing and we only had a very limited supply of lube Hopefully see you at the meat, erm, I mean meet
  10. It was good to get away for a bit wasn't it, mate I still can't get over seeing those eagles, I've put up a post in the falconry section about it but as yet no replys. I did get some joy from the general chat forum and it does indeed seem we saw something very unusual. I've spoken to a few other lads since and no one's heard of any other sightings around the area. It'll be very interesting to see if any other sightings turn up. Take it easy, mate Cheers.
  11. Spot on, Shepp And I find it hard to believe that no ones given them a visit before. Too feckin' soft by far
  12. As has been said many times before, caliber's not the issue, shot placement is I use a .177 Diana 52 (broken at the moment ), a .20 HW90 and a .22 King Ratty. I've never had any problems with any caliber so long as I do my bit well but if I had to choose I'd go for the smaller calibers with a sub 12ft-lb gun. The Diana's my tool of choice (when it's not broken ) but I've been very pleased with the results I've been getting with .20. A lot of folks call it a compromise, but it's not. It's just different to the other two. I don't count .25, it's rubbish. Unless you're shooting rats
  13. yup i seen da evidence..... i seen that pic with the "slut" collar.... im surprised you dont do your own S&M collar range Send him a special request and he'll sort you out
  14. Hi, folks. I've already posted this in the 'general chat' section on THL so I'll apologise if you've read this before and already replied but I thought I'd post on here too. I had some interesting replys but after doing a little searching on the 'net, I didn't really come up with much, so..... I was out last weekend with a couple of friends on a permission by Wentworth, close to Pontefract when I saw a pair of what I am very sure were Eagles. They flew past me within about fourty yards or so quite low. I couldn't see if they were ringed as the sky was very bright. My friends also saw a
  15. I'm pleased for you, mate, you've waited too long for your Rapid and I hope you enjoy it
  16. That makes more sense than 'was it an owl!!'
  17. Thanks for all the replys, folks. It's interesting to read that there's been a few sightings not too far away from us. I'm as sure as I possibly can be that they were eagles. The pair I saw were within about 40 yards of where I was and were flying low. Also there was a third one which I didn't see but my mates did, so I guess it was maybe a family. I couldn't make out if they were ringed or not as they were against a very bright sky. Like I said, we see buzzards more often than not around here and also the occasional red kite but these were way bigger than either of those. Beautiful to
  18. If I can make it down to the meet you can count me in What charity are you thinking of? Help For Heros comes to my mind
  19. Before this degenerates in to an arguement, I'll just say that I'm 42 and I've been been out and about in the country all my life. I've seen eagles many times in Scotland as have the blokes I was with. We see all the regular raptors that fly the skys around here and we know what they are and what they look like. What we saw was something unusual and I was just wondering if anyone else may be able to say wether or not eagles had made it to my part of the country.
  20. They seemed to be a pair and they were much too big to be ospreys. I'm no expert on birds but I've a reasonable knowlage as have the two lads I was with.
  21. Don't sack it, Peter, if you don't need the cash just take a step back for a bit and see how you feel then. Some good ideas above, give them a go then take stock. Cheers.
  22. No, Mike, not owls. They passed by very close to where we were and we did get a good look at them.
  23. Hi, folks. I've been out this weekend with a couple of friends on a permission near Wentworth, close to Pontefract. We see buzzards and red kites on a regular basis but this time a pair of what I'm sure were eagles flew over. None of us are exactly Bill Oddy but we all saw them and came to the same conlusion. Can anyone shead any light on this? I've not heard of any sightings around here before. Cheers.
  24. I see you're a Yorkshire lad. It wasn't a bloke from Otley that scammed your bro by any chance? There was a similar post to your's put up not too long back. Hope it gets sorted and if it doesn't, name the twat
  25. That's so wrong on so many levels but it's still funny as feck!!
