I've just had a closer look at the design, Si. Are you sure a drilled centre tube is the way to go? That system works OK for powder burning guns where flame flash is an issue but with an airgun, it's not as effective as just keeping the sound absorbing material out of the pellet's path with some kind of mesh. I know that HW do literally use hair curlers, but what could be better for the job in an airgun? I know it sounds gash but if you think about it, why not? Cheers

I hope they're paying him well!! One of the main things I like about your place is the governments relaxed attitude. We can't do feck all over here without some twat or another looking over our shoulder and wagging their finger at us I've been into off roading for most of my adult life and 'they' are closeing tracks and lanes for no good reason except to keep those wet, soft, moaning, geography teachers ramblers happy. I'd agree with Jai and Rake Unless there's a good reason to shoot them, leave them be. They can be shot at sensible ranges with a sub 12ft-lbs rifle just the same as rabbits. Their boddies may be bigger but their heads aren't. Cheers.

Rocky he broke his leg at a track meeting a month after the TT , when i say broke it wasnt the normal break , the bone comin through the skin , real mess , he was lucky it wasnt amputated apparently , he was over here 2 weeks ago for the whole TT , he has a type off cage round his leg and was hobbling round ! tell you boy's what you know your bikes fair play to you's the name escapes me did`nt a superbike rider live on the island he was a brit - around at the same time a fogerty i think he won super bikes then went onto the american scene ,,. I used to live for my bikes but after my second son came along nine years ago, my bottle went totally Sold the Gixer and I've not ridden since. I do miss it sometimes but I really can't see me getting another road bike though. Maybe an off roader when business picks back up, I love that!!

I've never owned one but I've ridden a couple of Gammas, one of which was Herron Suzuki's own demmo biks and that was fantastic. They did cheat a bit with the press bikes, they were all specially selected and had blue printed motors Be nice to see the pics, Chimp I never really rated the RD500, it just seemed to feel like Yamaha held back with it somehow and it was never the bike it should've been. Still a great bike though!! I love'd those clips, Jasper, the noise of a two stroke multi made me come over all funny

Yammy OWO1 brings back some memories Andy! remember wanting one of them as soon as I clapped eyes on one . a Pal had a FZR1000EXUP a good few years ago which had been tweaked here and there, he also before that had a GSX1100. I rode the GSR and went on the back of both bikes but have to say the EXUP was pretty lethal. Another bike that would of gargled piss for many years ago was the Yammy RD500, what a 2 stroke monster ....... had a rd 350 and 500 awsome machines would have another straight away i got offered one 5 years ago for £700 , i should of ripped his arm off

I worked for Padgett's in the mid 90's and they had both Foggy's 851 (888) and Hizzy's OWO1 and also Dave Leach's proddy ( ) FZR1000. I rode the OWO1 around their car park one day but Leach's FZR was road legal. I wanted to buy the bike from them but they wanted silly money for it. One bloke did buy it one day and I blagged the job of PDI ing it What a bike!! Not like any ordinary FZR, not by a long way. Made the Blades of the time feel like tanks!! He did race here but didnt fancy it , he did take stick and still people here slate him but thats unfair , the isle of man's not for everyone , but it shouldnt take away how good he was on a bike and barry sheen was a GREAT circuit racer . must of been early on --- he used to get some stick when he turned out at the post tt at mallory -- ron haslam was my fav round the island .. can you remember an aussie - new zealande ? grahame crosby ? on the sit up n beg production bike ..
