  1. Why are you talking to Sockypoos about arms? I'd be surprised if he still has his ?
  2. There are loads of free online courses. Duel lingo, Babbel etc have a search about mate
  3. Silly old harry, caught a herring, trawling over Australia ? I have to admit, I love maths Do a language mate, any language but if you learn one, I guarantee you'll find it easier to learn another
  4. The Deadly 1916 Attacks That Gave Birth To Shark Hysteria And Made 'Jaws' Possible ALLTHATSINTERESTING.COM The attacks spurred the "largest scale animal hunt in history" where locals fished for sharks...
  5. They live longer aparently Bull shark family! Massive story from about 100 years ago in US about a bull shark that was killing kids in a river 50-60miles from the estuary Seriously they count the rings not sure which ones mind.. just found this... /apple-icon-144x144.png How long do Greenland sharks live? OCEANSERVICE.NOAA.GOV Scientists estimate the Greenland shark lives at least 250 years. They may live...
  6. I was taught by the older generation Field craft, how to watch and learn etc. I live in Spain and when I go to the mountains it's no different to being in the UK, it's like reading a book. My mates and Mrs always wonder how I can spot the smallest things, I don't even try tbh. Although I do like the idea of a hunting education with certs and a closer knotted hunting community like in lots of European and north American countries
  7. Brilliant film and a sad story ?
  8. I only get "top predator fish" once a month (mercury etc levels being more concentrated in them) so Tuna, Cod, Salmon etc. Rarely eat shark or swordfish for the same reason. Tbh the way the Mrs scrapes my fuucking non-stick pans with metal, I'm buggered anyway ?
  9. Funny you posted that as I was just looking at this. Blue is the range of cod, I'm guessing the deeper the blue the larger the stock numbers...
  10. Aye I've got one of mine, msging me on Signal from Canada right now, giving me shit too ?
  11. Yep, I have 3 shops in walking distance that pretty much specialise in salt cod (I love it but after Seaspiracy she's banned it lol). Next time I pass one, I'll see if I can ask where it's coming from Tbh I always thought hisorically they took their cod from the Atlantic, closer to northern Spain or off the far north west coast (Galicia)
  12. I've seen some fair sized bream and seabass pulled onto the beaches here. I even swapped a joint for one last year ? Problem with crabbing etc here is you have to go way up north or south from Barcelona to get the right shoreline. Plus, I'll also have to look at the legalities of crab pots close to shore... don't want to be getting fined or deported ?
  13. I can stomach most things but seeing whale sharks caught as bycatch and hundreds of thousands of sharks having their fins sliced off and dumped, absolutely turned my gut. All that plastic pollution that we are told is us, turns out the majority is from the fishing industry. Seal of approval trademarks funded by the very corporations who are responsible for industrialise fishing, which offer no guarantees of sustainable or ethical practices.
  14. If you have them, then legally you're ok and owe Rogue nothing. But if you have them and HRMC say no import duty has been paid, pretty sure they can come after you, if they choose to. As you said though, Rogue have sent the invoice, not customs and excise so I wouldn't bother too much. Newkid sent me something through the post a month or so ago, I got stung 40€. Buggers wouldn't give it me until I paid up and if I didn't, it was getting sent back to Blighty. I've had a few mates who've been stung in the last few months too, birthday presents etc. I'm still looking at ways to get around i
  15. Looks like it's that way mate, the Mrs watched it with me ? Between us we polish off about 75-100€ worth of fish and seafood each month. First thing she said after it finished was "that's going out the window" ? So for lunch today I've eaten all the cockles, the pickled Whiting and the anchovies out of the fridge. Now I've only got a few crab claws, a sea bream and some other bits and bobs in the freezer.... after that I'll be doing my best to buy local sourced seafood. Which is a massive issue as the small fishing industry here has been decimated by the EU's fishing policies. Might
  16. If you have them in your hands then nope. If they are sat in a depot then yes (if you want them that is)
  17. Just finished watching it. Fuuck me!
  18. It's salt, hailing from where the mountains of the Indian and Asian continents collide. Very precious ?
  19. I read the room wrong ? Sell the butter and buy silver ?
  20. If we actually have proportionally elected MPs then the left would be toast.
  21. Thanks mate, exactly why I posted this topic. So I can understand what I don't understand. So in a nutshell, they've not moved fishing grounds, as more everyone is now playing in the same smaller playground? UK needs to step up and take the opportunity. Protect it's fishermen and farmers
  22. Come on mate, have a day off. You know exactly what I'm am saying and I don't need to copy paste to hold/support my argument.
  23. Nah, buy gold or silver, fill the bins and then bury 'em Cash, unless it's in a bank or an investment is gonna lose against inflation. Precious metals (for the moment) are a sure, finite thing. When they start mining space.. that's when you sell
  24. And you don't see any issue with what transpired after? In regards to disproportionate representative MP's compared to vote %
