  2. she's the same a really good nose, and dosen't give a sh#t about water even to the point her head is completely submerged and she's trying to minnows (funniest thing to watch ever besides that collage of george w bush gaffes on youtube) Her training started as a bit of a let's have fun and see thing but after seeing her prey drive/hunting abillity and mates who own springers saying that she could be a good up, i did research, up'ed her training and now she's at a level where i trust her to do the job in hand. she's still got some whistle and hand signal training to do but hopefully she'll get
  3. thats it a strong healthy working dog it's all you need, me and my little mo are best pals. i knew before i posted this i'd be looking at some stick but i couldn't give a monkeys at end of the day i've seen her working, people that matter have seen her working so as you said i aint got nothing to prove neither has the dog we're a good team. when she's neatned off she'll be a cracking dog. definately one to put a smile on any countryman or womans face

  5. Now now this is supposed to be a lighted hearted topic at 13 months old mate she'd put a gud un up against most dogs her age. i'm not saying she's a ftch but she can hold her own in the field and i'm proud of her.

  8. Thanks to the majority of posters esp diggermad for letting me know the error of the conning b#stard vets ways!!! Diggermad provided a number phoned them today an hey presto each hob done for jus shy of fourty quid RESULT
  9. i'm no expert nor do i claim to be. the vet told me they must be over three months and i checked this out online and in a couple of books, i've got knockin around they seem to confirm it as being ok after three months. i'm getting my three done at about four or five months old i've got plenty of room so i can keep them as long as ness'
  10. these are going to be my only litters before i get the jills spayed. Granted niether would i that's why i ask the vet i spoke to for a guarantee in writing that the procedue has been done i would go sick if i spent that money on a intact hob when supposed to be vasectamized. the chipping is done FREE on all my frits i've lost one before and was gutted got a phone call from RSPCA and got her back this was because she was chipped. they scan them before they euthanize/rehome them. P.S. i aint selling the damm hoblets they are to order. if someone wants one fine if not don't ask simple! or is it?

  13. was supposed to be 200 not 250 and which vets?? i've been quoted 150 for opp on each hob and coz i'm keeping till bout four months old jus wanted to pay for food bills and a couple of pints

Have 1 jill that's just had kits want good working homes + 1 more jill ready to drop soon and two more jills dropping in bout 2 to 3 weeks orders taken now and will be prioritised by date of order. kits will start to be ready the first week of august. All jills and one dad are proven workers jills £15 each hobs £10 each hoblets TO ORDER (vasectomized not castrated) £70 (diggermad provided the answer ) chipped and registered with some form of proof from the vets that they have been vasectomized these will not be ready until last week of sept or first week oc

Dad sh#t hot worker fears nothing but is little tall mum is a small jack, both parents are available to view with pups £150 fully wormed but not vaccinated. pm me anyone interested. this one love to attack his litter mates (playfully of course) preston, lancs area

  19. not heard of it neither but have notice a couple of rabbits on one piece of land acting a bit drunk. As in walking out of cover and sitting in front of me, took the little buggers out and burned the carcases. No signs of mitzy but best to get rid.
  20. i'll always have my little pal (a webley stingray 2 in .22 springer) even though i'm on a huntsman. just love the fact it is harder to shoot than the daystate, get more satisfaction.
  21. get the breed that suits your style and start it on a starter pistol (smal blanks) as soon as is proper, give little piece of meat/whatever every time you fire. this will help the dog to assciociate the noise with something positive and prevent gunshyness
  22. Been out this morning popping a couple rabbits off for the dogs, fezzers, humans (in that order). I had with me my 1year old, still in training staffy bull who has been going out into the field for about three weeks with some cracking retrieves both blind and marked in that time but this morning took the biscuit. shot a rabbit at bout seventy five to eighty yards out the dog couldn't see the rabbit when i shot it. i sent her out blind and she fetch the still alive rabbit from dense cover in a ditch i was surprised it was still alive as it was a text book heart lungs shot but not a mark on it f
