    In days gone by, there was far more freedom, Hunting with hounds was no problem coursing was no problem, we could get permission to walk the land, with a couple of dogs, the last 20years, it has been a downhill ride, for me now it is at Rock bottom, I definitely, saw better days in the 60s people were much more content, Happier, in there life styles,Music, the Mersey beat, work for those who wanted to work, The Dogs, for me those dogs were good for filling the pot, the good ole collie x deerhound x with coursing greyhound blood, Biddable, Hunt off the road,and carry back up into the van,(((

    It takes a better dog to do the hare single handed,there was never any slaughter on Hare coursing daylight, Give the hare 60to 100 yards Law, Takes a handy dog to take his quarry, 2ND on the list Deer, especially the Roe, they Panic and are easy quarry,3rd rabbits, All Edible and for the pot, No waste, Top organic food,along with salmon, pheasant, partridge, for me thats what Hunting was about,along with your good dog,

    If you value your dog, try and avoid that type of terrain,why invite large vet bills??? some times its impossible to avoid, like 2 weeks back, my brindle bitch, landed on top of barb wire, of a treble fence, she was caught right up in the groin, both sides, it will take another week for the deepest rip and hole to heal properly, so that's 3 to 4 weeks out of action,she is bred for fast work, when they hit an obstacle or fence wire at speed it can be nasty, or just a root facing the wrong way can be deadly, this happened on a Sunday I took the bitch, to the vets on the Monday morning, to get a

    They never caught the man coursing, His van was parked near-by, ex police man turned wild life officer, they Fabricated a case, threatened, to Ban him from keeping dogs, that case went on for almost 6 months, yes and he had one case against him for coursing in the same court, He really thought they were going to Ban him, due to the Fabrication of the case, one man against Three other so called witnesses,The Prosecutor, was wanting the Ban his solicitor was objecting to the ban, The case was stacked against him from the start to the finish,, Scotlands courts are run by the Lairds, only in 1960
