  2. well done Northern Light, you are rearing those pups, the proper way, all looks in fantastic condition, bitch is content and relaxed, wish you luck in picking the right pup, ((((( the fawn bitch with the black mussel ,and black tips to her lugs looks good for me, (((( But I need Saluki, in my type, with a touch of collie/greyhound in the back ground, a dog that has pace but knows how to change gears, oh and a good strike to go with it,

Well done to all the lads who showed there dogs, I think there is most lurcher breeds, that is working in the UK, today, the ole collie x is well represented, Bedlington, Saluki x, bull x the deerhound x although that is well watered down by now, whippets, and xs, Again well done to all concerned,

Number one I do not have shares in the salt mines I wish I had, The lad asked for advice I gave it Free of charge, It works first class, using road salt is extremely strong kills the snails no problems, do it 2 or3 times a year you wont see a slug, So your telling me that you put a line of salt on the ground around your kennels and this is effective against slugs for months at a time ? What advice would you give to someone who had a wall at the back of their kennels ? Do you put a line of salt up the wall ,over it and down the other side ? What if someone accidentally walked on the line of

  9. get a bucket of road salt, sprinkle around the outside edge of the run and kennel, end of problem, get a bucket full from the yellow bins that hold the salt or go to one of the depots that does the gritting,failing that buy a bag of rock salt,

I had a 3/4 grey 1/4 beardie collie, 10 months old he took his first Roe, pushed it out of the small hard wood, area, broad daylight month of December, another dog i had a Saluki x bred for coursing,(((( this is all pre ban,((((( he took his first Roe about 14 months old single handed, the same as the collie x single handed, ((((( No big deal, truth, in fact both dogs could have filled my freezer every week without fail those two dogs that I mentioned, Never knew each other, both had a great nose on them, both could do there job with ease, THE hare was a bit more difficult, (((( again

The last photos you posted the bitch looks in great condition well done, that type of breeding was the old lurcher I used to run in the 60s, only we bred collie/greyx deer/grey, kept a bitch out of that x she stood 25" Blue rough coat, she could knock a hare or two over, then I mated her to a Grew, he was a top race dog, I kept a bitch out of that mating, then I was on the money, she had feet like a cat, a brocken hair coat, run for fun,she fill the pot any day of the week for me, in those days we were lucky up here in Scotland, we could get a lining from a top coursing greyhound, which was
