With the strength of modern wormers you don't need to worm a pup twice a week that will do it more damage than good ...............
-
If its constantly whinning and has a poor appetite are you sure there isn't anything physically wrong with her ?

Well done that goes to prove that you should never give up looking .............

Start with a pound of meat for a week and see how your pup looks. If it looks nice and chubby without being to fat then bingo you have got it right as it grows and needs more add ka little at a time you will soon know how much to give. Personally I like to give my pups and adults a mix with their meat and I add raw veg, fruite and rice to give them the extra vitamins and nutrients they won't I get from meat alone. They also get tinned fish a few times a week and raw bones every other day. Some people will feed differently but all my dogs for the last 30+ years including lurchers greyhounds and

The cheapest way to get omega oils into the dog is to feed a cheap tin of sardines in tomatoe twice a week apart from good fish oils the tomatoe is a very good anti carconagenic and also reduces the acidic value in the dogs urine .......

i dont think its going to live on them though just more of a chew? get some chicken carcasses, at 10 kilo it wants 1 kilo of food a day so 2 carcass from the weight of the ones i used to get, then introduce liver and kidneys now and then, fish heads and tail is a good meal too, rabbit is free, if you got room order in some minced beer and tripe, or lamb and tripe from food companys 2 1/2 pound of meat per day for a 3 month old lurcher pup is a ridiculous amount of food and will cause more complications with giving the dog to much protein not to mention a distended gut. Raw offal Is

Feck me this site is classic the lad is obviously a youngster and lives in his fathers house so doesn't reAly have much say in the house. His father is bed bound Ill not well whatever. They have a mature bull type that doesn't get on with the pup. The youngster has found himself a job so good on him. All these factors mean the pup has to go so instead of giving the young fella grief how about helping him out.

Why are they not ORDINARY terriers ?

Ive done a fair bit of work with the malinois and as I have said on here before they are not a dog for a novice and really don't make a good pet their drive is immense and capped with an intelligent brain makes them a challenge if not kept constantly busy. There was a malinois in the kennel thAt had damaged his foot and could not be worked and had to have kennel rest the dog was so bored and wound up that it chewed the end of its own tail off. Their small build disguises the power these dogs hit you at as mate found out when one hit his sleeve so hard that it fractured his wrist. For a guard d

Not if you use the wax covered greyhound bedding mate it dries as the dog dries and doesn't get soggy brilliant stuff and dirt cheap a bail of around 40 kilos only costs nine quid and lasts forever. I don't know where in Wales you are but the fella that sells it is at ystrad munach greyhound track every week. I have tried every type of bedding available and this stuff Los the best by far.

Advocate is very good does fleas ticks and all worms including lung worm.

Bedding isn't just about heat it's also about comfort. A dog that has had a hard day or night running needs a soft surface to lay on to help relax the muscles and avoid injury. Can't be comfy to lay on a hard barrel especially if they go in wet the water will just stay in there with them.

Very nice .........

It's got nothing to do with being born a victim it's gt to do with being conditioned a certain way and my dogs have plenty of minerals for their jobs believe me BUT they wouldn't turn on a human because they have been conditioned not to NOW that's not to say if they were on the end of a lead and couldn't get away they wouldn't put a bite in to stop themselves being pained. A dog conditioned to know its place in the pack is the same as a pro boxer if they were up against the ropes and taking a beating they wouldn't come out kicking and headbutting because they have been conditioned not to do th

If a weak dog, or person, 'drives you up the wall' (in your own words) and makes you want to kick it, then it shows that bullies are even weaker. For someone to want to hit or kick a 'weak' dog, it shows that the person doing the kicking is actually even weaker than the 'weak dog'. Bullying weak things shows that the bully is scared of most things, including their own selves, and is in a very unhappy place indeed. Someone once said that violence is the last resort of a frustrated mind: I agree in part, though not completely. I'm not making excuses for the girl, who was probably a horribl

I had been around dogs since birth as my father and uncles were all hunters BUT when my father called me down the run and told me to pic a pup for myself I was the happiest kid ever. Me and spike spent every waking and most sleeping hours together he was a great little dog that unfortunately didn't make old bones. Enjoy it kid this will be a part of your life that you will NEVER forget .............
