    I have no Idea mate it was a long time ago i advertised them in the shooting news and they whent by train up to scotland. They wrre dark brindle with white feet. A stunning paie of pups.

    Whin i bred a litter this way around 22 years ago but the pup i kept back died at a young age. Funnily enough i sent 2 nice dark brindles up to Scotland.

    any dog or bitch thats used for breeding must have proven itself over a number of seasons terrain and quarry to test tgem to the full both ohtsicaly and mentally. I only ever breed when i need a pup and my cycle is every 6 years that way when the juvenile has matured 2 the old dog will be 8 andi will start to semi retire them. Thats the reason i have just put my bitch in pup. I just hope she has caught.

    Well I am sat on a lovely bank in the cold sunshine waiting for a ferret looking at the bitch ans I realy hope she is pregnant. Time will tell.

    I have just put my exceptional collie grey bitch Tegan in pup to a very very well bred saluki grey that has 30 years of breeding behind him with some very big names and champions in the line. The bitch is 6 years old and has been tried on everything. This is the only litter she will have as o only breed for myself BUT the pups that are left will be sold to good homes but they wont be cheap. You pay for quality in this world.

    my local would have no customers if they banned dogs ... there is always more dogs than customers no matter what day you walk in there .... i live in prime shooting land everybody has a team of spaniels or labs ... except for me i am the scruffy urchin sat in the corner with a mangy lurcher and dirty terrier in tow ...........

    i did mate i used my sprint dog ... the pups are all doing well and are strong types with loads of pace and are not afraid to get stuck in to any quarry ...... the sprint dog used ..........

    this was one of my track dogs and i realy wish i had bred off him before he died ... he ran all surfaces track and wild and never had a foot problem .......

    your pups would be 1/2 whippet 1/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound the variation in the litter will be in their traits and manerisms as in some will throw more towards the saluki some towards the whippet and some towards the greyhound OR you could have a very even litter accross the board .........

    get a tick remover mate and get them them things off straight away ... the longer they are on the ferret the more blood they will suck out of him .............

    arnica is the best all round treatment for bruising ... the problem with using metacam is that due to the painkiller in it the dog feels ok and will start to do to much causing the injury tom increase ... i use metacam as a very last resort and when i do i make sure the dog cannot be to active ...........

    Iceman one of the reasons for starting a pup that young is so that it learns patience and not to get worked up over a rabbit by the time that young cur is 12 months old it will have seen so much that it wont be a big deal to it unlike a pup entered much later that will be flying around like a demented crack whore and may even get so excited that it starts to whine. Concentration and patience is a must for a ferreting dog and these are best learned when young.

    I start all my dogs from a very young ageTegan my current bitch was out with me from the age of 10 weeks and she is a top class ferreting dog. As i have said on another thread watch her on dvd.

    Some of you ladies need to grow a pair of balls. This isn't the sewing circle where nobody is allowed to say anything bad incase some poor love gets upset. Constructive criticism is what helps us learn see our mistakes and better ourselves. It's the easy option to say nice vid every time. If people arnt told then they will never learn. And as for vids of dogs, get the DVD, A Few Ferrets More and in the last 20 mins of the film you will se my black bitch working over some very hard ground. Or stick it up on here if you can.
