Ferret lady I have been breeding ferrets since 1981 and not to look at but to work and believe me my well bred strong worker to worker bred kits have never been able to follow their mother around at a week old ..... I first bred a true wild polecat hybrid way back in 1989 from a male polecat that I caught back to one of my jills ... it killed the first Jill I tried it with but then was successfull with the second ... it wasn't until I bred them down to three quarter crosses that they were ant good for working .... but what do I know eh

a greyish coat is completely different to ''well dark'' at a week old and there is no way ANY ferret kit no matter of cross or hybrid is going to be able to follow its mother about at that age FACT ........

listen fella you are not the first person to breed a litter of polecats ... i bred my first litter over 20 years ago and have tried the silly experiment on a few occasions since. i know for a FACT that they will still be pink at a week old and NO WAY will they be heading out of the nest box FACT ........

what a load of bullshit ... at a week old your kits will be little pink things that couldnt move more than a few inches from their mothers tits ... allready dark and trying to get out of the nest box .. for fcuks sake stop talking shit ............

i put a similar post up a few weeks ago and had no response so trying again ... i am based in wiltshire and have a fair bit of permission that i cant get around to all the time ... i also need shooters to mop up after paid jobs ... a few bucks in your pocket and a day or nights shooting to boot cant be bad ... i will obviously vet anybody interested and give you a trial as i dont need any johnny rambo types ... pm me if your interested ... by the way got a nice rat shooting job tonight if anybody is up for it .....

What about Castlemartin then and they also conduct live firing excercises in Suffield in Canada(BATUS).Your spot on that no amount of training can prepare anybody for their first contact. what about workop or salisbury plain or otterburn or kenya etc etc ... all live firing ranges BUT NOBODY FIRES BACK AT YOU ... anybody can fire live rounds and run around and with smoke and dems you can make it as reaslistic as you want it still doesnt come close to the real thing because in the back of your head you know its just training ............

everybody that joins the army now knows they are at some stage of thier career going to end up in the desert ... nobody can serve out there unles they are 18 or over ... but most of them are kids with kids mentalities ... i have phyicaly watched kids grow into men over a few months ... most hack it some dont and the mental pressure becomes to much for them and they fall apart when they get back and end up getting kicked out of the army and left to fend for themselves ... not easy when they have seen so much at such a young age ... think of the most gory horror film you have ever seen and

i have a few kits left that will be ready to go in around 3 to 4 weeks .... these kits are from a working strain that i have kept for over 25 years and are out 4 to 5 times a week on paid jobs ... as the title says good working homes only .............

i understand what you are saying especially if the pup isnt used to it, so what about the puppy milk that has been designed for pups would it be ok for him to give that? skinners puppy milk is supplmented with Bio-mos which is a natural aid to healthy digestive system ( says it on the tub). gaots milk has been used for years to feed orphaned pups and stuff so how can it be so wrong? a milk formulated specificaly for pups is completely different from natural milk so would be absolutely fine for pups if you had to feed it ... a 5 month old pup is way way past being weaned so shouldnt need

all milk contains lactose and as we know dogs are lactose intolerant ... goats milk has less lactose than cows milk but it still does contain it ... giving an already undernourished pup milk will just make its digestive system worse and slow down the process needed to metabolise the meal its given ............

firstly DO NOT GIVE MILK dogs are lactose intolerant and milk will just upset the gut more ... feed the pup little and often ... 6 meals a day sounds good as long as they are a sensible amount ... feed good quality chicken and beef and you will soon see the weight come on .......

i've got a little cocker bitch that is a family pet even sleeps on one of the kids beds BUT works as well as any other dog when out ... the only thing you have to be strict on is that the family dont feed it full of shit ........

you dont need to be doing anything with that pup until its at least 12 months old apart from giving it the best grub and normal walks ... its still a baby yet with A LOT of growing to do ............

i will tell you one thing about adrian he was a tough little fecker ... him phil and myself were ferreting on top of a hill in december ... the snow was down and the wind was cutting to the bone ... adrian had no gloves no hat and was obviously in pain through his illness but would he sit in the truck ... would he feck ... he insisted on getting the best picture he could ... he stood there for best part of 2 hours popping pills and swigging coffee to keep himsef going.... he was a small man with a very big heart and was still talking about ferreting days right up until his last breath ...

It's what they add to it that's the problem, huge amounts of salt and spices which would upset dogs stomachs. then thats a different story ... i was working off the fact it was pure meat ... if it has added salt spices etc then i would give it a miss .....

kebab meat is human grade lamb, granted not your prime cut but human grade none the less and would be absolutely fine to feed to the dogs every day ... yes they may get the shits for a while until their stomachs get used to the new food but as for being bad for them thats nonsence ... throw a few raw bones into the mix a few times a week and add a little fruite and veg and the dogs will look very good on that diet .........
