  4. good looking pup there, best of luck with the sale and well done being honest, three children under the age of five is hard enough work without a young pup, take some time to get over losing the terrier, maybe get an older dog to fill the gap when your ready other wise i'd say to wait til the kids are older i admire you for being honest to yourself to know your finding it difficult before the pup is too old, too many people struggle to follow their pride and keep going til the pup is 5 months old or older when people are less likely to take a pup on as your taking people's problems al

best of luck with the exchange mate and i know where your coming from i moved from north london . .
  14. oh my god! interesting how it hunts the same way we'd use a lurcher, would be good to control deer etc too hopefully, definatly a better choice then suffolk who were thinking of introducing lnyx who are indeed stunning but i've only ever seen them hunt hare where we need a type of preditor to hunt rabbits and deer as the numbers are getting very much of control and do need assistance with so few farmers giving out permission however must confess there is a part of me that feels a tad nervous about this, lets be honest the block behind the desk in his suit writing up plans andlaws is o
  15. it all depends what area your in, for which breeds are most likely to be causing trouble when i lived in north london i used to own a little crossbreed dog 15"tts the local lads who used their staffie cross pits etc for fighting used to set them on local dogs for practice, the worst attack was one mastiff x collie picked up my little dog by the shoulders and shook him and a staff got hold of the back leg and pulled like tug of war, i was only a kid and the dog was my life, i was very lucky he didn't get killed - although i did vent a lot of anger in the dogs direction and they soon let go.
  16. all my lurchers are fine with gun shot noises, my bitch had her first rabbit when out with a friend using an air rifle so she connects the two together - to be honest i'm not sure if its good or bad as if your not watching her close while and theres a shot on nearby she'll make a beeline!! cringe! . . . have discovered its not liked much lol
  17. both!! very nice looking pup mate all the very best lurcher lass x x
  18. personally breeding big to small is fine! i wouldn't pop a large dog over a small bitch as her body needs to be able to deal with size of pups, i'd do a large bitch covered by small dog if you'd like big to small mating, having said that it can be fine, tis each to their own
  19. hehe like the way you think! amping with the dogs is grand and thanks for the ideas everyone, will look into it, there is one ain norfolk near thetford i've spotted but i do like well next to sea, been there before!! thanks again, be worth thinking about lurcher lass x x

  23. divorce happens to the best of us mate . . i had to give up a fantastic dog for this sort of reason ( he told the courts that the rottie x had bitten my child and i "aparently" chose the dog, they were prepared to have the dog destroyed as this was during the rottie media madness, so i had to rehome a very good bitch . . still miss her) all the best of luck mate!! and hope the divorce is sorted quicker then mine is, - mine now been going on a year an a half! lurcher lass x x x
