  8. Have a look at the first part of this thread, then watch the two video's that one of the members put up, if your still stuggling after that, post which part your struggling with and one of the members will help you get sorted. cheers mate!! i have it sorted now thanks, i knew it would be something daft, i thought the collors only needed the one battery hence why the locator struggled thanks again sorry for the hastle lurcher lass x x x x
  9. welcome hunting life! would you not even consider trying your saluki x my lurcher is so calm and gentle at home, good with my three year old daughter and fine with the cat, she picks up on my vibes if i'm calm and i tell her to leave it (i.e the cat) she will lie down and chill, but you bring her to a field she knows we're on the hunt! and just because your a girl don't mean you can't hunt! i'm a girlie and i hunt as often as i can good luck with the coursing hun all the best lurcher lass x

  11. i cooked a leg the other week place in roasting dish, make a few cuts and fill with garlic and rosemary cover in kerrygold irish butter - my favourite but you use what you wish, season with salt and black pepper cover with tin foil cook very slowly until meat is falling away from bone serve with mash yorkshires veg and gravey then invite me round for dinner lol
  12. must confess that made me giggle x x good one mate
  13. track greyhounds have to be weighed in before and after a race, the lighter they are the faster they are, i believe one once is a stride but i may be wrong, coursing greyhounds use different muscles more often as live quarry doesn't move in a big rig always turning to the left. with a hare there are twists and turns in every direction! great to watch! the coursing greyhound normally has a different diet to the track too hope this helps x
  14. Why should he have to justify his price to you? He's not making you buy them. Go into Tescos and ask them why they think there tv sets are worth 89.99 and see what response you get. i didn't say he's making me buy them all i'm asking is for some more information about said ferrets so i can understand the price - due the credit crunch i'm not willing to spend that kind of money on an animal i could have of the same size temperment colour etc fo far less payment at least tesco's would give more oinformation so you could see if it's worth it
  15. can you tell me more about these ferrets that makes you think they are worth 50 pound, size temperment color etc
  16. i absolutly agree with you! i'm working class, i own two lurchers and three ferrets, i do rabbiting mainly for the pot but also as a hobby, i wouldn't dream about putting an animal that i valued dog or ferret underground without a locator on, in this day an age where these options are available to us i honestly think we owe it to our working partners to use them. also admittedly they are very expensive but you re use them, providing you maintain them well - so when you think that this collor could not only save my dog/ferret from harm but also last for years
  17. thank you for welcoming me, so what have you been up to today
