  1. OH FECK!! i only just seen this!! i'm amazed at how well the young lads handled it, they were calm and slowly talking (which is always useful when your talking to idiots!) the only time one stepped forward was when that stupid bitch said she'll take the ferrets!!! (must say i would have picked up the box) and in speaking of that c*nt she didn't even know who the landowner was! when the lad was saying we have permission after working on the farm all she said was !i used to live on a farm" BIG DEAL!!! she happily eats cattle saying they've had a good life but i bet she wont know which farm or
  2. i wouldn't say its the cops fault really, end of the day they have to do what their boss tells them to, last season when police were following the local foxhounds their was a couple from the next county, we wondered why they travelled so far for work and they explained that they ride out with the hounds during their free time so wouldn't be right to police their own hunt . . when it boils down its the stupid government that put these stupid laws in place in the first place,,,,i do hope these guys get off!! all the best lurcher lass x x x
  3. only spay if you are sure you don't with to breed, there are advantages the bitch wont have seasons so wont be affected during hunting by discomfert or homones, no more mood changes, which can be inconveinent during winter! the down side is if you may find she'l gain weight after the op but regular exercise will keep this in check hope this helps all the best lurcher lass xxx
  4. i can give ye an answer as to why there seems to be more pups then usual, and its not just terriers and lurchers, its not even just working dogs come to that, but the reason is all the same, this country amongst others is suffering the joys of the credit crunch, more people are losing their jobs or counting out the pennys so their at home with the dog and the wheels start going round in their head . . i'll breed from my dog, sell the pups couple a hundred a pop (which is reasonable money for a decent pup) due to the credit crunch people are looking at new ways to make money . . some veiw
  5. people buy rabbit meat off me during season, end of the day once their skinned they all look the same . .
  6. nice lookin bitch there, if i were driving i'd have her but while i'm bringing dogs and a child on the joys of public transport i really cannot have another dog, seriously good looking dog there, all the best with the sale xxx
  7. love the grey pup!!!! all the best mate, do let us know how ye get on, i have a real soft spot for the saluki's of any coat type!
  8. mine are fed a dried feed that contains no carbs! 70% meat 30%fruit and veg, i mix this raw meat -chicken, lamb, offal, tripe, fish etc alond with table scraps, given a freash bone every evening and the ferrets finish the old one
  9. i kept my ferret kits indoors during the day, during and after they were weaned from the jill, means their introduced to human contact and noise from an early stage . . never noticed the smell really, apart from the odd funny look while standing in a que at the bank!!! lol
  10. hello again Artur!! i really like the look of your polish greyhound, nice chest on it, how are they to train? from reading the other posts the hunting in poland sound amazing!! i'm sure i'm not the only person who's keen to hear more so please feel free to tell us about the hunting and wildlife in poland . . in regards for speaking english, i live in england and though i can write well i can sometimes struggle to speak the language due to being born deaf, so don't worry about it my friend, all the very best lurcher lass x x x
  11. whoa!! only just seen this! chill mate, good things come to those who wait . . . when my bitch is in season i do road work cycling with her, it keeps her active, helps ease any discomfert and avoids other dogs, i may mooch her late and i mean late during the night to give her a stretch but not at times when they could be an owner of a male dog, not fair on the male dog or his owner!! :realmad: if you keep the fitness up a certain amount then when she's out of season it wont take you long to build her up hope this helps lurcher lass xx
  12. i do i similar feeding routine in that i get my working bitch to lie down in the living room to stay while i mix up the raw meat, dried biscuits and table scraps into three bowls, then i get the pups to sit and stay next to the bitch, pop the bowls in the stands, walk away from bowls with dogs still in a stay, walk til i'm standing next to them, wait a bit then i let them have their food, to which each dog will have his own bowl so i can keep check as to what dogs eating what etc have always fed my dogs this way since i was a kid, it helps form a connection between dog and owner and it only
  13. i agree that badgers need culling, this should be done similar to deer stalkers in that you have a certificate but that rather then having to seek permission -which is where the deer system fails as people are selfish and think deer are pretty, a certain percentage of badgers should be culled per area, especially near cattle, badgers although a stunning animal i have respect for, is a specie with no natural preditor, its causing damadge to enviroment and to farmers livelihood, i honestly think that the most likely road kill spotted is badger which surely shows there is too many for the areas .

  15. lurcher lass your bang on the, my brothers collie x used to be a great dog bang on after everything a mile away it would chase it!. shes 4 years now and if the rabbit or any quarry is 6 feet away from a tough of grass she wont touch it! even in the middle of a field she will stalk it ,creeping along the floor then as it darts she will fly in missing alot this year so far.....do you think this can be cured or is it the collie curse..lol hi mate i was expecting grief to be honest!!! i am pleasently surprised! this is a fine example of what the owner of me pups father said . . t

  21. to find the corrct dog takes time effort and patience, be honest with yourself what you want it to do, for me the most important points were the parents of said pup and the owners of the parents in particular to the dam, i wanted the pups first contact with human to be spot on, i spent over 10 months looking for me pup and i travelled from suffolk to doncaster to get her, admittly i was driven there by someone i'd never met which in hindsight may have been daft! but you only live once, pup was worth it and i ended up meeting some fantastic people as an outcome, my pup is beddy/greyhound x wh
  22. i personally wouldn't go for a collie x simply not my type of dog, their too brainy, i good man told me ye don't want a dog that while out on the lamp sits back and works out can he catch that rabbit near the hedge, ye want a dog with fire in its belly, ready to try anything just pure instinct and loyalaty can't go wrong with if its just rabbits your after a lil beddy x whippet would be grand or grey x whippet is faster, as mentioned above the saluki types are for hares feel free to pm to go into more detail, all the very best lurcher lass xxx
