  2. firstly take things slow, when you walk him be patient yet firm, when he's good give praise, when not correct him, the slap works for when he's being to excitable with the kids,,,has he got a place that he call his space away from the kids, like a crate or something . . bring him to everywhere, he needs to be introduced to everything he'l meet in the rest of his life, buses, cars, trains, dogs, people, etc walk him little and often and always finish on a good note with him being good, if you need any help pm me lurcher lass xx

  9. i had two car accidents in the space of three years,, whip lash is nasty i still have bad effects now and the last crash was four years ago! had physio which i found useless in this country but when i went home to ireland to visit family and went to see a physio for sport injuries, the man pulled me about and put his elbow in me spine and i left feeling bashed to bits and really in pain, the following day was worse but the third was fantastic i had movement gained that i hadn't had in two years,, another treatment i would strongly recommend is accupuncture i always have been terrified of nee
  10. i think i understand what you mean, i find it irratating when people reel off names of dogs i have never heard of or cannot place but the actual breed of dog isn't mentioned!! is it a terrier, a lurcher a saluki a whippet . . . if you don't reconise the name you don't have a clue!! having said that i still like to know the bloodlines etc in my dogs
  11. hi there, is the dog crated? could be for too long maybe . . i'd say get into a routine of taking dog out during the day at the same times, on lead praise when dog goes toilet and silence when she doesn't . . hope this helps lurcher lass

  14. fish4dogs is the best of its sort that i know of ... used it for an elderly dog and it done him wonders, personally i buy the highest quality food i can afford, there are better brands available for dogs with sensitive tummies, robbies holistic cusine was fantastic for my bitch as a pup, i found the dogs got bored of burns very quickly,,,,,, if your thinking of cutting cereals i use a dry food as a mixer that contains so carbs at all, the dog naturally doen't need them so why give it to them, i use ORIJEN which is 70% meat 30% fruit and veg, i'm sure theres a fish version hope this helps,

  22. hiya, have just come in from clipping mine!! i have two hobs a jill and three kits,, the critters are fed egg and milk mix every two days or so, if i see the nails are due clipping i make the ferrets wait for their egg mix, say three days if hot four days if cool whether, all the ferrets are dead keen for their egg by the time i let them have it, sit the ferret on huntch roof next to food bowl, while ferret is lapping away i just clip, simple,,,one or two of the kits are a bit wriggly when it comes to holding the back legs so i pick the ferret up, go to pop her on the surface again but pop me
