  1. Just after copping I got the wrong film, anyways, I'm glad I'm not an expert on musicals, they're for the gay fraternity LOL. Have to admit though, Paint Your Wagon is a classic.
  2. Mine is, My Rifle My Pony And Me... Name that film and singer..???? Paint your wagon, Lee Marvin.
  3. Always liked this version too but ye are all wrong, the best western ever is Silverado.
  4. As your expectations are not that high for a terrier to have some fun with why don't you do a poor tyke a favour and get one from a dog shelter and give it a new lease of life. I'm sure you'd easily find what you're looking for and at the end of the day if you rang 100 puppy peddlers and told them all what you were looking for they'd all give you the same answer. YES.
  5. OH MY GOD, YOU CAN SEE THAT GIRLS VAGINA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. As you say you keep poultry I would call that a result.
  7. Yes, he's a bit of a survivor this fellow. I release pheasant in the same area every year and they usually hang around. This year because of a pair of Buzzards all the Pheasants moved on but this fellow stayed.
  8. I was just trying to get JD to tell us what's the best cross and how they tasted ? Only messing JD, .
  9. Sorry Peter, just seen your post. Yes, I knew that, did you also know about Lambay that the rabbits on it are immune to myxi ? The keeper is banned from bringing live rabbits to the mainland .
  10. There's an island just of County Dublin with a resident population too. You also hear of the odd sighting too elsewhere.
  11. no your right! like I say at least one of these digs was by a terrierman who really should not better! I just don't get the mentality. but hey ho we will keep on at them atb None of those digs were done by a terrierman. A terrierman always backfills, even if it means coming back the next day to finish. Something I had to do recently.
  12. I can see the headlines now "Well known author breaks into Zoo to photograph poo." Think of the scandal ? OR, JD are you telling us there's Wallabies in the wild ? How do they run ?
  13. I understand that Woods. But what he said was something like that nowadays lads are too quick to dig instead of waiting for the terrier to come out, stand back and wait for the fox to bolt. I know the man has a well deserved reputation but sometimes those who have a legendary status in the game are not all they seem. Also IMO the gentleman is probably more of a hound man than a terrierman and hound men rarely have a good standard when it comes to terriers. They want their terriermen to be the best but not necessarily the terrier. I seen an interview with Mr George Newcombe once and he stated

    Mice

is it sad I also do this at times?? Guilty here too.
  15. If it was Appalachian I wouldn't be surprised, but Idaho ???
  16. We were in the pub one day and one of the lads was chatting up a couple of girls. One asked him what he does. "I'm a thermal insulating engineer." he told her. The other girl said "yer a lagger." We fell around with the laughter.
  17. IMO no. I've seen Hares do the most amazing maneuvers to escape over the years and IMO such tactics are instinct. Think about it. For that particular Hare to have done that maneuver before she would have to have been hunted by several birds of prey that have been big enough to have taken her. The best move I ever seen a Hare do was years ago at the coursing meet held by the now gone Donabate C.C. just outside Dublin. It was that good a open meet that I once walked the near 20 miles to it and home again. There was a river at the bottom of the main coursing field and the other side of the r
  18. Lutra Lutra, as a rule we don't have Carrion Crows here in Ireland, although there's stories of localised populations, but the Grey Crow takes his place. Hooded, Hoodie, Grey and Scald Crow are all local names for this villain. Rookeries are common in Ireland and is it weird that I like the Rook ? I wont shoot one. Herons are plentiful too and although I know they are a serious predator I feel for them in the floods. The River Boyne is only a couple of miles from me and it's a large rich river and in a mornings fishing to see 2 or 3 Otters wouldn't be unusual but you might fish it all day
  19. I put all my cage traps in tunnels except for one rat trap that I always cover in grass and weeds. Bait in this trap is a handful of wheat and for three days in a row the trap was stripped of the grass covering and moved six or so inches to one side so the wheat could be eaten. Yesterday I seen the culprit in action. A cock pheasant. Fair play to him.
  20. I disagree Foxdropper. Anyways, if you're looking for a stud I know a lad has a son of Smithy's. £2000 a service to yourself, .
  21. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when a farmer rang me to shift vermin. I went out and here in a field of heifers was a wide open hole. I went back to the farmer and asked who'd been digging on the land last, he told me who, and I said not to ring me again because if a heifer had broke a leg or so in the open hole it would have been me that got the blame. A couple of weeks later the culprit showed up and the farmer told him to f**k off as he doesn't backfill. "I bet it was that Neil Cooney c**t" he told the farmer, LOL. Who needs anti's, LOL.
  22. It's very annoying and it's not always novices that are to blame. Real sign of a cowboy.
  23. An old hunting friend of mine (RIP) would have looked at her and said "she looks like a walking b*****d." Nice type. Not every ones cup of tea that coat but I like it.
  24. i cant take credit for the photos Sean Frain first posted them to advertise his new book , Neil you shouldn't be to bothered about little quotes or misquotes, these northern boys had a very quick dry humor, i've meet a few over the years and your never sure if they are imparting some knowledge to you or taking the piss .....as far as i'm concerned both men kept and breed the very best there was at their time i will always think highly of them because without their input i would not of owned bred and worked and had so many years of fun with terriers He said it Glyn on the very same vid
