    I think the dda was actually beneficial to the Apbt breed.....people who are into the true value of the breed dont give a monkeys for the dda they have more important things to worry about.....so that tends to raise the quality of dogs when they are not readily available.......the silly dogs walking around the streets today i dont think can really be called Apbt,s its like comparing a crappy little pet Labrador to a serious purpose bred working gundog yes they both carry the same breed name but they are a million miles apart to anyone with any knowledge on the breed........as a breed the Apbt

    My sister and her husband had the Cricketers back in the early 90's caused a family feud being next door to the Den !...I was never too comfy round that way but got on with a few publicans round there Billy Wicks had The White Swan in Lewisham that was seen as posh compared to some of the gaffs round Bermondsey.....mad old days looking back.

    If your talking short term you'll probably do ok but long term personally i think that type of thing will struggle.....Healthy eating will be bombarding us day and night over the coming years just look how many healthy eating restaurants are opening up lately its becoming trendy to be food conscious these days whenever something starts getting trendy the original things already in place will suffer ive just come out of the gym game as The Great Outdoor Gyms are going to be on every street corner over the coming years being that the government are behind it and to many of society healthy eating

    All changed a little bit round there do you remember the Merry Cricketers pub on the one way in Lower Rd opposite the McDonalds its a been a newsagents for the last 10 years or so....proper old ruckers pub just up the road from the Farriers which is still there....there was some cracking boozers along Evelyn St a bit sore but plenty of characters. Im a Manzies man myself i reckon ive tried every pie and mash shop in London over the years and the best ive had is not even in London ! .... Tonys in Waltham Abbey gets my vote.

    I love the social aspect of traditional local pubs but i cant be around drunks if theres someone obviously drunk i'll leave....it's different for youngsters you accept that but seeing a grown man making a show of himself on drink is so uncouth....the thought of being out of control frightens the life out of me the rare times i do drink as soon as i feel myself getting a bit merry thats my lot im onto the orange juice !     I really wanted to be a fireman when i was at school....if playing for the Hammers was out of the question that is.....they knocked me back due to a few early brushes with the law and that was when me and my little pals got our heads together....the first sniff of proper dough and i never gave the fire brigade a second thought !

    I think you can still have that connection etc but its different whereby you run into lads from round the country normally at tournaments you,ll get familiar faces and you get that same togetherness you get at your club....ive met some cracking lads up and down the country they,re not friends but football friends if you know what I mean ive had some great times following England.
