  1. Try looking at the dartboard then ......i dont like the party atmosphere at sport either but its irrelevant in the context of a close exciting game.
  2. And they say people dont understand mental illness !!...........its a mystery why any wealthy people die under 100 years old
  3. Cheeky f****r you told me they were Peregrine Falcon eggs ! Slugs it is then panic over
  4. And a few million in the bank would at least give the rich sports men or women a chance to fill that void.As in opening a training school of there chosen sport.or traveling the world. Surely the poor folk can't afford feck all just stuck somewhere with not much outlook.so yea money plays a massive part in folks lives. If you think spending money is the cure for mental illness you are very much mistaken.
  5. Would someone be able to tell me what these are from ?....ive just had a shed removed from my garden which has left a few small clumps of these on the concrete base......each egg is about 5mm just to give it some scale......its probably obvious to some but if you dont know you just gotta ask i suppose ......at the moment im just telling people that " bubbles " are the foundations of everything at my house
  6. That Van Gerwen/Barney game was one of the best games ive ever seen.....similar to Taylor/Klassen last night we are being treated to some great back and forward games....the fine lines between success and failure in these games epitomise what sport is about for me,whether you like darts or not how anyone could call it boring is beyond me.
  7. Theres certainly some bizarre outlooks folk have towards money ....since when have wealthy people been immune from mental illness any more than being immune from cancer Sports people are like anyone else who has invested a large part of their life into something that is then taken away.....made worse by a naturally competetive edge the void has to be filled
  8. 99 is a poor average for Taylor if im not wrong his career average over something like 600 matches is 102 ......ridiculous aint it !.....thats why its great that theres so many good players at the top now its so much more competetive Taylot cant play an average game and still win anymore.......not sure about Barney moved where ? dont think he,s been in a major final for a few years now has he been in a world championship final since he won it ?......good few days of darts ahead anyway my moneys on Van Gerwen.
  9. I,ll be surprised if Painter can get a set off Taylor i think his time has been and gone its a young mans game now Taylor is just one of sports freaks in my opinion.
  10. Packed out venues weekly in the premier league often 10k+.........apart from football name me a sport that has higher viewing figures than darts ? Darts is not only becoming a popular social night out but extremely exciting competetive entertainment.......whats exciting about watching people play cards its not even watchable.
  11. Absolutely right.....one of the most fearsome and intimidating men ive ever met said to me years ago " you always need to be able to go up another gear "......hence when you hear these gypsy lads ranting on like lunatics when they do actually lose their rag the element of surprise is gone and they are about as intimidating as a chicken drumstick ! Seeing a nasty man turn nasty is nowhere near as frightening as seeing a gentleman turn nasty.
  12. I dont understand all this fear and apprehension people seem to have about gypsies ive never found them to be any different from regular folk when it comes to confrontation......some will stand up and take it as far as need be and others will just fall away no different to any other community.......as kids we used to go to my nans over Gallions Reach and fight with the gypsy kids as a regular thing it was just the accepted thing to do when we was bored ive often felt guilty about it as an adult we made their life hell at times but give them their dues they gave as good as they got and thats wh
  13. Whether it should be accepted as a sport or not is up for argument.....whats not up for argument is the fact its one of the fastest growing " sports " in the Uk and the second most watched " sport " on tv.......in Asia soft tipped darts is even more popular than normal darts is here.....personally i love it,the mental games as well as the skill, nerve and precision typify what sport is about. Hard to see past Van Gerwen at the moment though im really looking forward to an old school tussle between Taylor and Kevin Painter later on tonight.
  14. Merry Christmas all and best of health, luck and happiness for the New Year.
  15. Its the sort of sport thats probably more technical than the average sports fan would understand......a bit like sprinting you tend to think a lot of it is natural and apart from physical strength/fitness theres not much to improve on but im sure theres tiny tweaks here and there that make a lot of difference. Its interesting i always had the East End and Liverpool down as similar areas rough docks etc with similar working class and sporting traditions but i cant for the life of me ever remember swimming pools round these parts back then i know we never went with the school infact the only pool
  16. I used to train quite a lot with Jimmy Marku he had ridiculous core strength its hard to imagine how strong the worlds best are people like Brian Shaw and Savickas there joints must be welded !!
  17. I like that it makes a lot of sense....same with anything you just have to have faith in the dogs breeding that its going to do what comes natural when put in that position you dont need to keep " trying it out " every 5 minutes just to put your mind at ease.....selection/breeding/schooling/showtime in that order regardless what breed or what task.

  19. I can see what jdhunting is trying to say and i agree to a point....im a West Ham fan and dont really give a f**k for any club apart from West Ham so i might be way off....but even i can recognise there has always been a certain " style " Man Utd have played with,to me they are the biggest club in the land and fans should therefore be entitled to expect the style of football that brought them that label....that doesnt mean they are entitled to win trophies with it though.....i think Mourinho is completely wrong for Utd to me he is just a good Sam Allardyce he doesnt play to a teams strength he
  20. Did Fury deserve to win it because he is white then ?......Frank Bruno had ten times more personality and charisma than Fury has and he didnt win it.....David Haye,Herbie Hide,Henry Akinwande all won world heavyweight titles they didnt win it either. No my point about him being White was did you honestly believe 10 or 15 yrs ago you'd see a White Brit win what Fury won ?? Bit like a White Brit winning the Olympic 100 mtr gold medal , who right now believes in the next 10 or 15 yrs we'll see a White Brit win that . . I doubt 1 person would believe Thats going to happen & if it did I Guarente
  21. Swimming and Boxing thats an interesting combination, many times one sport will lead us into another but its not often one sport will compliment another i can see how each of those would but its like anything do you want to play at both or be serious about one.......i didnt learn to swim till my boxing career was finished and i still swim like a petrified kitten now ......national level swimming thats some standard do you think with time and dedication you could of taken it further ?
  22. Not another Northerner who wants to get all brave once the parties over.......just keep calm and stay out of it.......like yous did back then
  23. What makes you think it will have an impact on future generations if it didnt have an impact on you ?.......after all you/we/us are the ones passing things on to the next generation. Personally i think folk make too much of a fuss over being " accepted ". Stop being so fkin argumentative or you will be getting a slaaaaap You promise ? ........c**t c**t c**t wanker shit slag c**t...........shall i get my video up first or do you want to ye b*****d ye !
  24. The boy is living the dream and f****n good luck to him....if you put your arse on the line, have the talent and dedication to pursue your dreams your entitled to the riches that come with it in my opinion be that sport/business or anything. As for the simple life.......thats what you want when your past being surrounded by flash cars and flash fanny
