  1. Its like anything i suppose,if you have the interest you will find a way......open water always fascinated me,but also frightened the life out of me ? As regards humility/lessons etc im finding learning new shit so much easier later in life when you dont have all that tempestuousness and attitude of youth !....i guess the rest is just down to self determination.
  2. My story with swimming/water is so embarrassing i only tell folk i dont really know that well ? Growing up i dont ever remember really even seeing the sea until late teens but once i did i was mesmerised by it i used to drive to Southend and run up to the end of the pier as part of my training ( its about a mile and a half long ) and spend hours just sitting there watching the water knowing i couldnt swim a stroke and was actually terrified of being in water any further than waist high.....then once my daughter was born i remember taking her to the same spot clutching her hand vice like a
  3. I like the Mr Bean lookalikes wearing a 36" chest black t shirt with SECURITY written in big white letters on the back !
  4. Shame that,he was supposed to be a really nice, quiet likeable fella.....which is always rare for a Millwall fan !
  5. I think we're probably heading towards private healthcare for the working class and up.......and an NHS for the scrags from around the globe.
  6. Watched a few of them found them quite interesting.....never knew the Bakewell Tart is named after a place called Bakewell in Derbyshire so stopped there for a couple on the way to Wales the other week.....different class to Marks & Sparks ones ?
  7. Yes but theres plenty of fighters who show up in top shape ready and able to fight.....my guess is lads like Diaz have more social media followers though ?.....social media popularity sells fights the proofs in the pudding......at the end of the day ratings and rankings if not adhered to make a mockery of fight sports.
  8. Thats because ultimately white people are not eternal victims needing to be treated like babies taking their first steps by governments, media and lefty enablers.

I do not think council estates are full of scumbags at all i grew up on council estates in an area and an era when living on a council estate was seen as a privilege and you was seen as doing well.....its the areas the estates are in thats the problem not the estates themselves lots of good people i still have in my life today came off the estates......personally i didnt live on the ground until i got married and have had times in life when i needed more money than i had and other times when ive had more money than i need....and i know which i prefer thats all im saying.
  10. I'll take your word for it like i say its only really of interest to me around the quarter finals of Wimbledon every year ? I used to keep up with it all in the Borg - McEnroe era but not much since !.....great athletes and sportsmen though the big 3 today fair do's.
  11. If i could be bothered to look i would but wouldnt mind better i said it even on here months before the Mayweather/Mcgregor farce that if that fight went ahead it would be the beginning of the end for both sports.....and what have we had since....f****n youtube fights. Throughout the years ive always enjoyed the journey up of young fighters but lost a bit of interest if/when they reach world level....give me local/small hall/domestic boxing all day long.
  12. What an absolute shambles eh !....personally i think it probably got pulled through lack of interest,2 weeks to go and there was still no Uk broadcaster even....you'd never know what the truth was with Fury though i wouldnt be surprised to see him retire, again. It also looks like they are trying to use the Joshua/Usyk fight to drum up a bit of interest, hence its rescheduled for after their fight....what a nonsense !
  13. Not a huge fan of it myself but like to know whats going on in the traditional iconic sports events Djokovic seemed to win it quite comfortably how he was returning some of them serves i dont know !....Federer is a bit older i think and seems to be copping some injuries of late so id imagine Djokovic and Nadal will go on to battle it out over the coming years for the all time great status. I actually prefer watching womens tennis it seems a lot more interesting to watch and isnt all about the serve like in the mens game.....and theres some decent little sorts i was hoping Sabalenka would
  14. Great post......unfortunately a lot of peoples scruples go all boss eyed when they realise they can get somebody else to pay for their hobbies !
  15. And thats where all combat sports come undone......it shouldnt be a popularity contest.
  16. Exactly right folk talk about him having cardio issues he doesnt have cardio issues he just has to work ridiculously hard in the clinches to maintain decent position simply because he,s not strong enough to impose himself on bigger opponents which anyone above featherweight is too big for him.....i always thought one of the silliest things he ever said was " size and weight shouldnt come into a fight "
  17. Ive often thought of getting into that just to give games a bit more interest as a neutral but all seems a bit too complicated and involved to me.

Ive lived on a council estate and ive lived in a village and certainly know which i prefer ?.....but each to their own.
  19. I agree...when you're in there you just know when damage has been done i think the kick probably separated tendons and then when he got back up the joint just let go completely. He's just embarrassing himself Mcgregor its like watching an old Ali or an old fat Elvis you know there was once a great performer there but its gone....even his charisma and chat is totally over the top nonsense out of desperation now....physically i always thought he lacked strength above featherweight he just gets man handled easily up close and struggles to create the space he needs, his size and frame are much
  20. Things like this always give me comfort in the fact that ultimately people do still have the power......it proves that virtually anything can have currency,in this case its crappy little weird looking dogs but realistically it could be blue tennis balls or flowered vests if you can create a market of popularity anything and everything is currency.
  21. Possibly, but peelers are cheap as chips these days....anyway dont forget social distancing ?
  22. I think it depends what your goals are.....the withdrawal of information is always going to require a quicker more intense feeling of pain as every second counts meaning a higher level of desperation is needed to hold the person in a state of concentrated fear in order to get sensible, focused answers as opposed to panicked " say anything " type replies......but yes, with pure punishment in mind slowly slowly catchy monkey is order of the day.....infact a blunt peeler with a 0.5 - 1mm depth guage gives more of a " Chinese burn " effect giving the person initial hope......until constantly going o
  23. Thats a shame he was a good old fashioned centre forward i enjoyed watching that Ipswich side of the late 70's Mariner,Eric Gates,Alan Brazil,Mick Mills the 2 Dutch lads.......sad to hear.

I think they are vile personally....typical German efficiency and performance.....but theres plenty of cars with efficiency and performance that dont look like a mini cab ! ?

Not for me mate no....nice motors dont get me wrong but i like modern technology in cars...for me the ultimate middle aged gentlemans boy racer are the V8 Maserati Gran Turismo and the W12 Bentley Continental Gt....both for different reasons but like you say i still think theres something very special about those old Jags/Stags etc.
