  1. Still smashing those squirrels the adventures of micro Lurcher continue she looks a good little companion good to see she’s doing well.
  2. I must admit hunting rabbits with a Lurcher has got to be one of the most exciting ways of controlling their numbers I just haven’t time because of work to own a dog at the moment but when I retire that might change,, @Sausagedog how’s your little dog haven’t seen her on your trips for a while hopes she’s well.
  3. I’ve always thought reading your posts it was the ideal tool for the close range hunting you do I’m glad it’s working out for you, and pre owning one yourself I think the banter we were hearing from you was just an inner yearning ? good shooting. We've just got to convince Ianm, some how though I know that’s not going to happen lol ?.
  4. This is so interesting for myself because your doing the groundwork testing all these different rounds but I’d be surprised if you didn’t opt for the Remington 17g as over ten years plus same gun as yours they have only given me a problem when it was well documented about the squib rounds / split necks and only a few boxes. I still use them and I am impressed overall with accuracy and consistency but will watch closely on what you finally think is the best round for the CZ 452 Varmint barrel I believe that’s what you have got good luck testing and keep us posted with the results.
  5. You couldn’t get a more British band I love the Sex Pistols this is my favourite pistols track read the comments about Pauline the girl from Birmingham who lived in a tree great times when we could all gob over each other without catching some shitty virus lol...
  6. Stop running round in circles Greb and make all your dreams come true and buy a mans car a Toyota Landcruiser the go anywhere mobile. ?
  7. I’ve just got rid of a Simmons Whitetail Classic 3.5x10x50 it was good glass but I couldn’t get on with the reticle I think it’s called a Trueplex big fat old thing.
  8. Does anybody do their terriers by hand thumb and forefinger I used to do my patt this way and only the dead coat came out and the new growth stayed rather than taking the lot off, she used to like it until I got round to her stomach area then she was an arsey bitch lol good result that way though.
  9. Try and get someone experienced to tag along with, you will soon pick things up and as for skinning a rabbit if you balls it up it’s dead anyway just keep trying, I was brought up in the east end of London I was definitely not born into it I’ve had a dabble in all forms of hunting and love it.
  10. I used to wear an helmet Goggles and earplugs a week later I was still digging mud out of me ears lol, I remember once I stuck the wrong size kite up and got dragged everywhere my mouth was like dredger the crap I must have swallowed doesn’t bear thinking about good old days lol...
  11. I used to Kite Buggy out there in the mud the speed I used to get was mad but when I used to return to the beach I didn’t look human just a mud ball lol, it’s changed a lot down there every one has cottoned on so it doesn’t feel as exclusive any more, as soon as the suns out it’s rammed but still one of the better beaches in Southend.
  12. @WILF@gnasher16 Tots used to be in Lucy Road back of the seafront ( Talk of the Town ) and the Cockle sheds mainly the Osbourne Bros down at old Leigh still going strong, the arches down the seafront houses all the restaurants Westcliff-on-Sea area, and as for Shoeburyness I moved from there about five year ago I spent 24 years in the same house I liked it a lot nice beach up that way East beach and yes they still launch jet skis kite surfing at the shore house pub on the seafront. @WILF I believe you might have been a Grays man at some point good scrap yard there lol ?.
  13. I have had a lot of 4x4s but admittedly my SJ410 with suspension over axle conversion drain pipe snorkel and plug holes to let the water out meant it went any where it was my main transport following and assisting on a hunt, when I used to rock up people were like how on earth did you get here great little motors I had a Vitara as well very good motors but not a patch on the SJ for character.
  14. There was a period where it burnt down on a regular basis, there was a fire at the end of the pier with big damage twisted metal and all that, then another fire where the bowling alley caught alight at the start of the pier I drove past it that day just as the fire was starting, but the best one was where a ship went right through the middle of it the captain must have been blind or pissed as it’s lit up like a Christmas tree, there’s a modern life boat station at the end and a few restaurants and tea rooms you used to be able to get a beer at the end but not sure if you can now, for any of ou
  15. The 12x18 size is the main target of a bad guy aiming a gun at you but the little targets you see above are in the corners above the bad guy I cut them up and attach them to a solid piece of wood to make the most of the targets.
  16. This is a splatter target very useful for people who can’t see much further than the end of their nose like myself ?...
  17. There’s a lot of info on this link I do know for a fact that the RSPCA still use them I had a situation with a wounded animal in my line of work the RSPCA used it on site there messy that’s all I will say, but you do not need a license just justified in using it. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/slaughter-poultry-livestock-and-rabbits-for-home-consumption
  18. Great read Ian and what a worthy fox, when I used to follow a local hunt I used to love seeing a good adversary laying false scents to give the hounds the run around you would see them sitting in a vantage point sniffing the air and listening catching their breath before they make there next move. Very intelligent survivors and no matter how much shooting dog work hunting there still here and seem to go from strength to strength.
  19. Sums him up to a tee self important to the max, he comes down to Southend pier and does a Friday night show on a restaurant at the end of the pier and fills it up with all his luvvy mates, and tries to block all the locals I can’t stand people who think they are better than others.
  20. Keith Floyd definitely the best followed by Marco Pierre White a bit of stranglers whilst eating and drinking what’s not to like and as for Jamie Oliver and his soppy mate Jimmy and his farm that’s what the off button was invented for....
  21. Until the Lefties are put back in their box expect more of the same but when you’ve got lefty teachers educating ( Brainwashing ) our kids what do we expect, this can only end one way and the sooner the better, I’d consider emigration if I was younger but I consider it running away and where would you go this country is damaged beyond repair in my opinion. You have only got to look at recent events up and down the country the murders the liberties by protesters the grovelling on knees by those who are meant to uphold law and order it’s a disgrace and an embarrassment to be called English/
