I lost a 40 foot rail once that was a bad day at the office I just stopped and picked up with the crane I’m amazed it never hit anything lol a good mate of mine done a similar thing his rail was dragging along the floor sparks everything and slapped into a moving car to say the shit hit the fan on that one was an understatement ?

I’ve a mate whose retired now who would definitely know him.

I am also a RIO a rail incident officer we put on our RIO vests during big incidents it’s mainly to identify yourself to the emergency services we make it safe for them to carry out there jobs under a joint services command structure we get the OHL turned off trains stopped to let them carry out there work say in a fatality or another high profile incident.

There are a few gatekeepers left who operate the gates Lincoln road in Enfield is one and the infamous Elsenham is another. But what I used to do was Level Crossing inspections and risk assessments to railway standards and also a bit of maintenance there’s a lot more to level crossings than people realise it’s the weakest link between the railway and the public in my opinion. I know a few people who have worked on the Tilbury Loop Line working Crossing’s Signal boxes ect Low Street East Tilbury Tilbury Riverside all around that line most of it is controlled at Upminster now.

Tate & Lyle had a plant at Silvertown and the Isle of Dogs I remember in the 70s we all got evacuated out of our house due to a massive fire on the island plant, big company back in the day in the East End.

Level Crossing Manager would be ideal I done it for 7 years Monday to Friday and you manage your own work no nights no on call no weekends.

Mainly incident response rail incidents staff incidents member of public incidents of which there are many. I don’t get involved in projects but we will be busy in the coming months with the leaf fall season and in summer it’s trespass and vandalism checks but incidents always take precedence. Shift wise I start my month tomorrow night 4 nights then 3 days next week Thursday Friday Saturday then 3 more nights Monday Tuesday Wednesday and then the 3rd week Sunday to Wednesday days again all 12 hours then a week off but we do rest days on top of that if you want them you can’t work mor

I started in the year 2000 and to be honest I’ve worked in most disciplines and then decided to utilise all those tickets and experience in being a Mom as you know we deal with all types of incidents across all disciplines this will do me now till I retire. Admittedly the social aspect is a pain I work 3 weekends out of four plus weekly 12 hour shifts but the railways been good to me, I was a motorcycle courier for best part of 15 years in London before I started on the railway I don’t know how I survived lol I wish I had thought about the railway sooner.

My sons a design engineer for the aircraft industry he does a lot of testing as well, he was responsible for the microwave the beverage dispenser you don’t call it a coffee maker apparently and involved in the cockpit seats on the Dreamliner but he trained for ten years I’m glad he stuck it out. As for myself I love the Railway been on a long while now admittedly the shifts are anti social but you learn to work your social life around it @Greb147 are you working for a contractor or NWR look into getting a Mobile Operations Managers Job (Mom) best job on the Railway and I’ve had a few road

Hello Greyman I’ve got HGV 2 admittedly I haven’t used it for a while but I used to move 60 foot rails and my largest was a 67 foot metal rail crossing, 30foot on the bed and the rest Out the back and over the cab but you have to have triangles flashing lights and you have to inform the police and authorities of your route. Its definitely best left to the experts companies who move rail carriages and other such kit are a good shout doubt it will be cheap though.

@green lurchers they look lovely mate especially the first pic just by looking you know they are going to be hot that crinkly skin thing going on I think I will invest in a little lean to greenhouse next year to maximise my yield they have got to be one of the easiest things to grow all though if I go away for a few days I fret about them ? I am going to give those yellow fatali a go next year they look real nice.

Jimmy Cricket on the toilet and there’s more ( Older persons joke lol...)

There’s a bit of a mix there I believe some are Cheyenne, Vampires and Thai Birds eyes which are quite hot the big ones at the bottom are quite mild but I can’t remember their name, Jalapeños are not too lethal and good for all sorts of dishes but if you want really mild for stews Hungarian Wax Chillis very easy to grow and big crops, I like the Indian green chillis a very manageable heat to them but if you want to go real mad go for the Trinidad Scorpions or the Caroline reapers the man to speak to is our resident cuisine expert @green lurchers he’s really into his chillis and has a big varie

They look very much like a Trinidad Scorpion I have grown them myself and if it is what I think it is wow I can vouch for how hot they are, they are mega but stupidly addictive lol enjoy...

I’ve been harvesting chillis for about the last three weeks or so I only had about five plants on the go but what you see in the pic I’ve probably picked that lot about four to five times, loads of the Indian green ones as well a good bumper year that should keep me going for a little while and they are packing some heat as well.

Yes in my experience you do nothing is ever spent when it comes to firearms or shotguns doesn’t mean to say you won’t be successful, I thought I didn’t have to declare something but it came up on the interview which was a bit embarrassing good luck with your application.

I remember as a kid sitting around my Nan and Grandads fire in there house in the East End with the telescopic fork making toast and smothering it with Beef dripping and the conversation always turned to hopping and the many stories attached to it the joy in my nans face of the good times they had will never be forgotten. It also used to turn to war stories as well my Grandad used to help retrieve the dead from the bombed out houses as the East End took a big hit during world war 2. Its funny thinking about it a lot happened around that fireplace we made pickled onions red cabbage ho

If this is a serious question which I’m absolutely sure it’s not, If you need to ask you shouldn’t be considering purchasing either but looking at your profile newbie first post from USA I’m sure you just pick them up with your weekly shopping bog rolls toothpaste peanut butter Semi auto pump action you get my drift. I adore this site...... -
Brilliant bit of footage when it more or less stopped and double backed them Dogs must have thought for fucks sake lol, I’ve always thought the hunt is better than the kill and if they survive their a worthy opponent.
