I might have a go at that myself next year, my hedgerow exploits have been Blackberry Blackcurrant Rose hip and plums, the plums they were something else they were so ripe and juicy I just new that the natural fructose was going to be high I wasn’t wrong one bottle and I was crawling and dribbling like a fool it was great. I have also had a go at Rice & Raisin a very quick wine can be drunk in 6 weeks but it’s rocket fuel, and I had an excess of mint one year and found a recipe in an old book Tea & Mint wine it was a shocker bloody awful. We’ve got XL426 at Southend Airport it was out on the tarmac but it’s now in a hangar there is a restoration trust that do a great job when it does the taxi run you can see they are itching to take off. AVROVULCAN.COM

That documentary about the bombing raid in Port Stanley is amazing it makes you proud to be British if you haven’t watched it, it’s a must see.

Another family favourite for us is the Fat Albert the Hercules my eldest son spent most of his RAF career at Lyneham they hold a lot of memories for him good and bad.

In my opinion the best plane ever built I’ve seen them fly several times and the noise there’s nothing like it, that video you put up I used to play it through my stereo at full blast, I also live very close by to XL426 one of the few remaining Vulcans which does taxi runs several times a year sad they are all grounded they were the highlight of any air show.

Parents day at RAF Benson the lads and lasses put on a good display for all the mums and Dads and a big piss up afterwards, I was all dressed up to go on the Chinny when literally as we was boarding the lad in charge said sorry cancelled it’s been commandeered for the display team, I was like shit really wanted to go on that, we got a choice a Puma or a Merlin me and my younger lad chose the Puma what a great machine doors open whilst flying was a real apocalypse now experience lol....

Explosions were and are common in East Essex, Foulness Island which is near Shoeburyness is a top secret munitions testing island it’s very unique for testing missiles I believe with clearance they can test up to 60,000 feet there is a walk you can do called the Broomway which is littered with munitions meant to be the most dangerous walk in the UK. I lived in Shoeburyness for 24 years and it was common for your house and windows to shake with the mortar testing. I had an incident I had to deal with the other night where a member of publics cat was bowled over by a train and they wanted it confirmed, normal job I thought until I rocked up on site it was a Savannah Hybrid cat a male one I’ve never seen a cat so big, being allowed to roam the streets no wonder we get all these big cat sightings with these things about. This picture off of google gives you an idea of the size I was quite surprised to be honest I had to get a bigger bag.
