  1. That’s exactly it mate there’s a slider plate over the main plate that can be opened or closed when open it exposes the pellet holder which is on fire which you can sear steaks etc when closed it builds up extreme heat which you can indirectly grill on.
  2. They took just over an hour at a much higher temperature 350f we gave them my Mrs wanted to see how it worked cooking quickly rather than the slow low cooks they were really nice.

  7. Sounds good I’ve a couple of temperature probes that fit into the smoker but it would be nice to see rare medium rare etc.

  11. Four 12 hour shifts 5am to 1700 then a week off, then I’ve got me railway medical that should be interesting do you eat much red meat sir yeh shit loads ?
  12. Have a good shift mate I start a four day stint at 4am tomorrow morning that’s why I’ve been eating like a pig to build me strength up ?
  13. Yeh it’s that copper colour you rarely see it in a bbq.
  14. No it’s not bad at all it does seem economical I’ve had about 6 cooks since I got it and out of 3 bags I’ve got a full one and 2 half bags left and 2 of the cooks have been 5 hours plus. Navigator is a good choice it’s got the little pull lever for the sear plate, the Austin looked nice and I do like a chimney.
  15. It uses about a pound an hour but the slower cooks you use less and hotter cooks more most of my cooks are the 225/250f area.
  16. Cheers mate the Uber driver will eat it before it gets there ? Brisket has got to be on the horizon soon they are a beast to get right but if you nail it there amazing.

  18. Well that was a success six hours but well worth the wait the bones just slid out so soft and juicy I’m well chuffed.
  19. 1 hour to go I’ve done the 3 2 1 method 3 hours on the grill 2 hours wrapped in foil and the last hour I’ve just smothered in sticky sauce these are gonna be good.
  20. Bloody healthy size good luck with them.
