I was on a hunt a few years ago and a fat bird on a horse asked me if I could tighten the Velcro around the shin of her horse so I thought I’d help fatty out as it was an absolute drama watching her get on and off the horse, so I kneeled by the side of it not behind an old jockey mate ringing in my ears don’t stand behind them, she goes don’t worry he’s never kicked any one well that was it a sideways kick and a flash of steel it kicked me in the face I got up I was furious all I wanted to do was drop the long faced f****r they are unpredictable flight animals and I just don’t see the point of

When it’s dark mate just flick your lamp on and off occasionally and you will soon pick up the eyes I use red for the shot and white to scan but red for both wouldn’t matter I find with the white sometimes it spooks them and they bugger off wasted opportunity.

Jimmys bang on with his advice, what I do is check out the land in day light rabbit droppings fresh digging in the dirt if there’s a new crop coming through check the leaves for nibbling, then I find a nice place a reasonable distance away to set myself up and then the key is patience if your not patient forget it and when I take a shot I only use a red filter white filter for scanning only. In reference to a medical I’ve just had a letter drop on my floor this morning from my GP and it says the following. We would accordingly advise that we will no longer be able to provide medical reports or complete medical forms in respect of of patients firearms applications or renewal of firearms certificates. I don’t recall my firearms officer asking for a medical last time around but if they do in future what do you do change doctors. I reckon Mr Plymouth random shooter has a lot to do with these decisions what they have done is absolved there selves of any future blame if a
