  1. I’ve got that same gun folding poachers gun quite old made in Braintree maybe many years ago but then I heard a story a lot were manufactured in Belgium, It’s nice how the hammer bends slightly to the right so you can see down the barrel, when I get home tomorrow I will try and get a pic of mine.
  2. You can imagine the Banter ??
  3. I need those Crocs in my life ?
  4. I’ve just bought the tripod see how I get on with it they have sale on at the moment, so not a lot of money at all obviously they’ve got the expensive stuff but it’s more of an experiment to change the way I shoot I’m getting to old for laying on the floor.
  5. I’ve been looking at these what would you say was a better choice two leg or three I’m leaning towards the three it’s got to be more stable, my bipod adds weight and it would be nice to get off the ground as it’s bloody cold this time of year free hands is ok but it just adds that bit more confidence if your stable.
  6. That looks ideal Stav I’ve got the same lamp I noticed a pic ages ago you put up with it mounted on the side and thought that seems a better idea I will have a look on the bay for that cheers ?
  7. I seemed to have hit a rich vein of rabbits got another three this afternoon but there were more about, last couple of weeks I’ve been having a result every time I go out. I’ve never owned ferrets they don’t like me lol but this bit of ground I’m doing at the moment would be ideal. @Sausagedog I’ve noticed the longer the shot the less expansion sometimes I have to have a good look to see where the round penetrated. As they were mentioned in a previous post I’ve got the Nightmaster the big XL one what scope clamp do people use, as the the head of the torch seems to sit right on t

  11. Sounds great they are very impressive, I’d like to have a go at keeping small frogs in a vivarium you can create a mini rainforest with mist flies etc some pretty good videos on YouTube I’ve seen them in the wild in Costa Rica and they are tiny.
  12. You know what Ken I wasn’t going to mention the mice but seeing as you have here go’s my lad used to feed live mice to his one the violence is off the scale the speed at which it attacks the poor little bugger is unreal and then clamping down on its head sucking the moisture out is as you say mentally scarring ?. The thing used to shoot off hairs at you as well which irritated there was absolutely no bonding going on just a real nasty hateful f****r, but strangely I thought it was great.
  13. My Son used to own a Goliath Bird eating spider that lived under a coconut who was partial to a cricket as soon as it picked up just a slight tremor that a cricket was present in the tank a leg used to appear from under the coconut, and what happened next was only what can be described as your worst nightmare. I remember it well he owned it on base when he was in the RAF he got posted to Afghanistan and the dickhead he trusted it with turned off the heat mat and alas that was the end of Trevor, I offered to look after but my Mrs threatened divorce ?
  14. Not music but it’s what I’m listening to ridiculously funny ?
  15. I’ve never experienced that kind of cold wouldn’t mind a visit though my son has got a very good mate in Halifax Nova Scotia who he served in the RAF with he loves it out there first opportunity my son would he’d be off. just reread your post they don’t hibernate never new that.
  16. He’s probably out in it setting up bait bins for bears ??
  17. I have always used 17gn Remington in my Cz 452 and these are the results at a 100 yards a bit of wind 10mph ish and literally lay on the ground bipod and into my shoulder it’s an old pic I’ve put it up before but gives an idea of the consistency and accuracy. My gun isn’t a great lover of cleaning the barrel every thing else is cleaned but I find the accuracy goes off until it gets dirtied up a bit but being a dirty round it doesn’t take that long, so I persevere without altering the zeroing as I know it’s just the settling down going on. What works in a Cz might not work in a Ruger
  18.
