I don’t normally go out until after the fields are cut, but took a drive over the farm the other evening to see what was about I couldn’t believe how many rabbits that were about, one field in particular which I’ve been hitting over winter was full of them, so I took a wander for a couple of hours this evening, I shot nine but lost one in the veg I missed a couple as well was a really nice evening to be out, the 27” bipod really came in handy tonight what with the veg being so high at the moment. here’s a few pics.

If you like box sets it’s one of the best out there, the characters the music the comedy more ups and downs than you can shake a stick at, start from season 1 and stick with it you won’t be disappointed. Edited to say it’s about mafia families in America.

My Mrs isn’t up to speed on the Cyprus/ Turkish relations and was trying to slip Turkish topics into conversations and I said to her leave it, It isn’t worth the hassle and heated debate. On the hunting side of things a bar owner / Farmer I got talking to said hunting a rabbit over there it’s a big deal if they see one rabbit over a two day hunt I don’t think I could be bothered, they seem to mainly hunt birds Malta is very similar they seem to go all out on the birds if I recall.

Just got back from Cyprus, really nice food people ect and they drive on the same side as us, also you get the feeling they genuinely do like the British.

I work for Network Rail and the comments by Schapps are hilarious he keeps bleating on about how much drivers are paid Network Rail do not employ any drivers for one it’s the TOCs the train operating companies. Whats happening is an attack on our terms and conditions which have been fought for for generations, also we have had a pay freeze since 2019 they are also scrapping roles such as the operative and supervisors role trying to get us to do more nights more weekends I do three weekends a month as it is. He keeps on bleating about the £16 billion that was given to the industry we

Your right it was great we met a lot of people who were repeat visitors some even bought property out there, I visited when President Jammah was in charge everyday his herd of goats were walked on the beach and he used to give out money to the locals. The pestering feckers nickname Bumsters ? I was told walk in the sea they don’t like getting their trainers wet.

I’ve been to the Gambia a couple of times which is sort of next door to Ghana I enjoyed it and got on well there, It really all depends on your attitude and expectations really, i have been Cape Verde as well windy and boring summed it up for me but others may think differently.

Thanks Arry that’s the place I’ve got to pay a visit there soon one bridge too many lol, when I tried to visit before the pubs closed there car parks so it was extremely difficult to park.

I love this sort of thing Arry when ever I come down your way I travel across the moor east from Moretonhampstead I did try to stop off at Wistmans wood last time but couldn’t park my car near three bridges area.
