    I get time off in the week mate and I can afford to travel a lot is that what I do with my money, I agree with the comment about your death bed my death bed I will be thinking of all the great places and people I’ve met because I was lucky enough to visit, ask Mackem about the benefits of travelling the world it broadens your mind.

    The trouble with the public and a few of the lads on here is they don’t realise how fragmented the railway is the freight operating companies FOCs the TOCs train operating companies network rail maintenance and operations the cleaners the contractors I could go on, but they see a few blokes changing a bulb and that’s it we’re all the same I could quite easily explain why it takes 3 people on a platform up a ladder probably near 25000 AC OHL but I will save it, and I will sit back and watch the ignorant comments.     With respect spend a a weekend on the p-way Walt changing rails sleepers switches and crossings under a time constraint and you will think a lot differently, and I’m speaking from experience some new starters can’t even push a shovel into ballast it’s graft, don’t be fooled by what you hear in the media at the moment we were the good guys in the pandemic key workers now were the bad guys apparently because we want a fair pay rise and our T&Cs and jobs protected.

    I second that on the Goat hunting write ups I think you’d be surprised how many people enjoyed reading about your days out, it was the endurance that I used to like reading about hunting on foot is always the best days out.

    I think we are only just at the beginning its my kids and their kids I’m concerned about this not going to end peacefully if they carry on with the constant unchecked illegal crossings the tipping point has well gone.

    Yeh the Sp1 was a bit special, I used to own the Honda 250 before that the Honda G5 funny powder blue colour it was a big old bus but solid engine as a youngster I used to fly through the Blackwall tunnel flat out on it just nudging a ton ? no silly cameras back then.

    Is that a 250 super dream in the rear of the pic ?, I had a VFR 750 was a good bike to ride lots of momentum and grunt and then I discovered Ducati Monsters I think my Monster ownership spanned over a decade I loved them I miss having a bike haven’t had one for just over a year in a lifetime of always having one about.

    I had an early wander this morning left home at about 04:40 I shot 4 rabbits but there was loads about but dodgy shots horse paddocks and a house it’s frustrating as I would probably have had double figures if I’d taken my air rifle, I’m just set in my ways. Mosquitoes were out in force as well they were eating me through my shirt here’s a nice little pic of the sun coming up.
