firstly i dont yet own an undocked terrier my terriers are either old enough to be legally docked or have been bought in legally docked. if and when i breed a litter they will not be docked. as its illegal here. i was not aware that i could drive across the border and legally dock a litter of scottish bred pups. (could someone please clarify this?) i know a lad that works two undocked terriers and its only the usual places that take the odd nick the tails seam fine. i have nothing against making a stand for your rights but i believe you descriminating against undocked terriers is not the way f

cheers lads for discriminating against. working dogs from north of the border. you are turning away working lads and working dogs becouse they have a tail. and welcoming all dogs if docked. thought looks didnt matter on a worker. heres one that wont go to any shows north of the border again. you can bite my banger. fcukin unity dont make me laugh

your better with a small lurcher mate. straight whippets are good little dogs but if your gonna give it plenty of all round work your better to get a terrier cross whippet Ozzy wheaten /whippet a first cross not as fast as the three quarter but handy allround rabbiting dog and never a sick day in his life

sounds like your doing a good job apart from plenty of stock breaking and maybe a little bit of ratting there aint much to do. its a waiting game. try to hook up with a keeper or terrier lad that has a seasoned dog. take it to a few shows you might meet lads that can help you enter your terrier. good luck when the season comes. another thing you can do is try and land as much permision as you can. becouse if it goes well you will need to keep the work coming

why do you say in the MISTAKEN belief. if the breeding is there then he is not mistaken. i know he has not covered himself in glory by passing other stock off as his own. but from what i'm aware he knows his stuff re genetics and breeding. and as has been said he has produced good quality consistantly for many years. one of the main complaints about his stuff when i was young was that they where to big and chesty. now he has them down to a handy size they are to small. he has had his line for many years and his reputation for breeding good terriers for working foxes to ground is still good. so

most of my bitches came in around the eight months mark. so no it isnt unusual.

i can understand that there are principles and some have to stand up for them. and hats off to anyone that sticks up for what they believe in but to take it out on anyone that doesnt dock is as bad as takeing it out on the docked terriers :boogie:as you say you have a right to dock. and you allso have a right not to dock you would allso be biast against scottish bred dogs where it is illegal to dock if you want to make a stand get to the shows that support your docked terriers and support working them hunt shows. and terrier/lurcher club shows. therte is no law on showing docked terr

in my opinion the white lakie should be in the lakie class. it IS a lakie only white. whats next black lakie class red lakie class black and tan lakie. . the white lakie is as much a lakie as any other lakie and some of the ones ive seen are more lakie than the blacks and black and tans. and the only reason that they arnt in the lakie class is they have less chance of winning. as very few judges would have the bottle to put one up as for the white crossbreds russell or crossbred

i had a plummer there last year. it was the only one. so i might be in with a shout this year plus a few of the local farmers owe me a pint or two. its a win win situation .i'll be there. allways a good day out the swtc show. i think ek is a better venue than bellahouston park. a good day for the whole family and cheap as chips.
