Too right that is a good bass The biggest bass I have ever seen was caught on a bubble float and a small redgill Just over 14lb when weighed in. But, if you want to catch big bass consistently forget redgills, use live mackerel. Boat or shore it does pick out the bigger fish. There are always big fish caught on a variety of baits every year, but these fish are the exception rather than the rule. It has always been my way to try and match the bait to the size of fish you are fishing for feed on, it does not always pay off, but I believe it puts the odds in your favour. Sometimes it works,

Been a long time since I built a den, from what I can remember it was always work in progress. As once you found a rivals den you were honour bound to destroy it as best you could before they came back. And as a matter of course the same applied to your den. TC

When I was fishing, my hands used to crack all the time from the salt water drying the skin out, quite a few of the lads had it. One of them tried Neutragena Norwegian formula hand cream and within a week or so his hand were back to normal. We all started using it and it was a god sent, stopped the hands from cracking. TC

The modern day rose has been designed by selective breeding over the last few thousand years. The original wild rose bares no resemblance to the modern Tea or Floribunda rose. Madoc or Madog ab Owain Gwynydd was said to have sailed there in 1170 upon reaching there he left the first lot of settlers there and returned home to get more settlers and once again sailed westward on this time landing in a different place. I just heard on the news that the police have found the body of the young girl that was missing. The police spokesman said significant effort had been made to conceal the body in the river near to where she was last seen. RIP young lady. TC
