Sorry to hear that mate. Had the same a few months ago with my old bitch. Never easy
-
It can be done but it wouldn't be easy. Email me the images a let me know what you want doing with each image. I will need the full size file straight from the camera in J-peg. i've pm'd you my email address

cheers for the link matey, just ordered one. you can't get nothing for £4.00 now-a-days and it will be handy just to keep in the car. A cigerette plug cost a couple of quid on it's own!!!!.

I've heard a few horror stories about kenneling terriers and lurchers together, a few mates have lost both lurchers and terriers in kennel fights. I kennel my labrador bitch and whippet bitch together without so much of a grumble (touch wood) but tbh the whippet rules the roost. Splitting your dogs up and kenneling them seperately is the only option, exercise them together as normal and things should work out fine. I must say though 4 months old that pat is going to be a right nightmare if you don't socialise it with other dogs soon.

I've had it happen a couple of times when i've shot them through the eyes, quite surprising really as it must be like being hit by a train. They just sit up and try running off. Thats why i usually take the lab out with me when i'm shooting rabbits she'll fetch them, and if there runners follow them until she picks them.

It was 6 weeks cage rest and a course of hydrotherepy before the dog could do much at all. It was a long drawn out affair with a happy ending

GET your arse out of bed an hour earlier then. I live over 100 miles away and i've never waited to get in the gamefair in 10 years. I'm there around 7 am. I leave for the car park at around 5.30 then have something to eat and wait for the car park to almost empty then head for home.Never been caught in traffic..

First of all mate don't let the vets touch it, ask them to refer you to the willows at solihull. The only draw back is there not cheap but there the best imo. my mates cocker ruptured it's cruciate in it's back left leg and completely detached the one in it's left. They operated and it's still the best dog out in the beating line...

I havn't got the time or the patience to explain to you anymore. I'm certainly not new to the lamping game. It's a competition where we enter the dogs. You agree a time and place with the person your picked against and it's up to you to choose a night. Tuesday night was the only night available to both parties. The night started off right , wind, dirzzle and cloud cover but that changed. NOw read the thread before posting your remarks and making another thread go to rat shit. could a moderator please clean this thread up and lock it.. i started the thread and i would like it locked to

READ THE FECKIN THREAD FOR FECKS SAKE Farmer1 couldn't run the heat at any other time as his job requires him to be on call for the next 2 weeks. and all the first round heats need to be run in september. Everyone who's entered the comp know this and if people read through the entire thread they would too.... JUST READ THROUGH THE THREAD NICE AND SLOWLY AND YOU MAY GET THE ANSWER TO ALL YOUR CONCERNS....
-
The SHITE'S started already from members who arn't even in the comp because they didn't have the feckin BALLS to enter.. You can call the comp all you like lads your opinions don't mean a shite because your not even in it... All heats have an independant Judge, who judges the competition as to the rules. The rules state the heats to be run at a time agreeable by both parties.... Both parties agreed to run on that night so what's the problem???.
-
No Mate, i judged this heat as it was run quite close to me and they wanted an independant judge. I don't mind judging another if i'm asked to as long as it's local to me My heat is sometime next month, hopefully i should have Vixen running well again after he season. Give me a ring Ryno as i need to speak to you about summat

It was run over the full 3 hours, conditions wern't ideal mate. The moon was up there was no wind and walking through the stubble fields created enough noise to wake the dead lol. There are plenty of rabbits on that ground i'm sure of that, it's just the conditions that were against us.
-
Hi mate if your read farmer1's dog actually caught 5 rabbits but one didn't count as it wasn't the one he slipped the dog on, So the catch i highlighted didn't count.
-
First of all congratulations to Farmer1 for getting through into the next round, and well done to MLB for being graceful in defeat and for giving it her best shot. Conditions were against us lastnight but you both battled on and made it a good night. It was nice to meet up with you all, we had a good craic.... just how it should be

There's plenty of good Kc working whippet stud dogs around i know a few that are advertised on the working whippet forum. I've been out with one that i really like he's lynperry bred and is 21", works like a dream. I'd be more inclined to use a larger size whippet to bring the size up, you'll still get a nice strong pup with the staffy blood from your bitch. I know of a few that use the APT cross whippets and the 1/4 crosses look really well. Personally i only keep Kc registered whippets i've only bred a couple of litters. The first litter i bred were racing lines x sooty sam lines i was p

Well the weather was good for lamping (considering the moon phase) when we arrived at the farm. The heat got underway at 11.06 within half an hour the wind had dropped to almost nothing and the moon had started to come through the clouds. We were working the stubbles and to give the runner a chance the runner not running and myself stayed 20-30yds behind. Otherwise they wouldn't have got a run as we sounded like a herd of elephants!!!. Farmer 1 won the toss and opted to run first. Anyway both got 8 runs a piece. Farmer1 ......................MLB 0 .............................0

whos going to chatsworth gamefair
mally replied to miss lurcher bitch's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
It's not like what it used to be in the late 's early 90's it's more like a glorified car boot now that costs a fortune to get in. They have lost there way and cater more for the city folk now calling it a country fair. Back in the late 's early 90's it was the pinicle of the lurcher scene, everyone went and it was a good criac -
Like this one mate
-
I was quite fortunate with this one as it was being exercised and didn't see me until the last minute
-
I was out yesterday on a Photoshoot and managed to take a couple of hare pics. Thought i'd share them with you
-
I'm looking forward to judging it, weve had a bit of rain and it's forecast another inch before the weekend so it should be good running ground. I'm going to bring my lamping kit along and leave it in the car just incase yours or farmer1's let you down..

Hope you don't mind kay, i've removed the pylon from the right of the picture. What do you think???
