A little off topic, But i thought i'd post anyway. yesterday i delivered a couple of photo's of a lurcher i took at a small fundog show held at a dog rescue centre. I was speaking to the owners about the bitch as she was a cracking looking dog anyway to cut a long story short the bitch was 3 years old and had had 6 homes to there knowledge, and they have had her a year. They said she'd been kept for work before she went to the rescue centre where they rehomed her from. This Bitch follows the bloke around everywhere and has only just settled in after a year. I told them that i work my dogs and -
Nice dog mate, it's never good having to ferret this time of year but you have to keep the farmers happy or risk losing your permission. I have a couple of spots that i have to do all year round to. I don't normally ferret unless i really have to in the summer i generally go around with the rifle a couple of times a week just to keep the numbers to an acceptable level. Looks like you had a good day

I'd take her to a running dog vet (a good one). Robert Meek looks over my dogs but i would always take them to a good running dog vet when it comes to bones. As they can xray and get the correct diagnosis (sp). My mate had Robert look at his bitches toe, my mate was told to spray it with this chinese stuff twice a day, well 10 weeks later it was just the same. He then took it to a greyhound vet says the stuff he was told to use isn't worth a Wa*k, he was given some other stuff and the bitch is nearly right after a fortnights treatment.

Have the parents been hip scored and do they have all the relevent eye certificates etc. The reason i ask is my friend bred a litter last year for his own use and couldn't sell the pups because he hadn't had any of the checks done on the sire and dam. He ended up letting them go for £50 each!!! If you look on the KC website they advise everyone to check these before buying pups. If you have the time you could run them on and start basic training with them

my guns a kept spotless. but it doesn't stop the parts breaking and the gun not being fit for purpose. Their shite In my experience with them. I've got a browning sporting clays thats treated exactly the same and it's never missed a beat

Top show, Nice to meet up with a few mates old and new, I've got a belting pic of tomo stuffing his face again lol. It was nice to see Dirty twisters Pup get best lurcher pup. Great day -
I wouldn't worry about the pup getting over weight mate, just feed him what he'll eat. It's always best to keep a bit of weight on pups until there 7-8 months old. That way you know there getting all they need. Thats how how rear pups anyway mate and i've never had a problem.

Disapointed you have not got any whippet classes on, in fact not even a sighthound class would have been a nice run out -
We all know that mate, but i only keep kc registered whippets
-
No problem Ryno just give me a shout mate, i've got a few shoots booked already early in the season. You've got my number. Are you going to the show at rotherham on Sunday should be a good one.?

I'm surprised you've still got any left Paul as it looks a cracking litter. Your bitch is very simular to the one i've just lost. As i told you on the phone i would have had a pup had they been registered all the best mate
