    I lost a bitch due to a stroke a few months ago now, she was just 9. Same as you mate i had to have her PTS. Like your dog mate she had a good life and is laid to rest alongside her pup Tilly. It's never easy but you gave him a good 15 years atb

    I bought it from a lady off thewhippetforum.com. She lives in australia and it's hand sewn kangaroo leather, really soft collar. I paid £25.00 for the collar and lead 3 years ago

    Well i got an invite from Topgun to have a look out with him on the foxes on some land whats been having a few problems with them around the pheasants pens. After picking me up we sorted out who was going to lamp and call in the foxes, which was my responsibility. Topgun was responsible for putting the cross hairs on them and shooting straight. We arrived at the land at about 8.30ish we checked the lamp in the truck and it wasn't working!!! a quick look at the lightforce lamp revealed it had the typical problem of the wires coming aprt in the handle!!!. 10 minutes later it was fixed.     Here are a few i thought you may like to see, I'm not happy with these really as i missed the light by about 20 minutes and had to shoot with a high iso My labrador Fern Zak A friends bedlington x lurcher i've been looking after for a couple of days Vixen my whippet These were taken 1/2 hour earlier this evening and i'm happy with these.

    Took this yesterday whilst taking a few photo's of a combine harvester my dad had on Demo. Obviously i had the camera set for shooting the combine and the leveret jumped out the corn. I could have done with a faster shutter speed really..

    Srcubworm put a post up a few months ago saying he was visiting the uk. I sent him a pm saying he's welcome to come out lamping with me. Anyway cut a long story short he arrived last night around 6. I took him out for an hour with the air rifle on the farm he shot 4 rabbits and i shot a crow. It was a good craic. We got back and spent a couple of hours waiting for it to get dark, which never really happened the wind had dropped too. Not a good night for lamping really but it was the only night he could make it so we went out all the same. We only managed 4 runs and vixen caught 2, he

    was just looking at your pictures on your site mally fair play to ya there stunning dogs and photos mate Cheers Vixen has just come into season today :wallbash: . Thought she was running well over the last three nights. We've been out over the last three nights A total of 91/2 hours lamping and she's missed 5 rabbits over the 3 nights. She'll need 4 weeks off and then the hard work will begin getting her in fine fettle again!!!!!!!

    Couldn't agree with you more, i've scruffed my labrador (but my definition of scruffing is holding the dog with the srcuff and placing it back where it was, not shaking the living daylights out of the dog!!). I'd never scruff the whippet though she'd never forgive me, all thats needed with her is a different tone of voice... I'm firm on my dogs but never hard on them. They know i'm the pack leader and its not very often they try taking the piss lol Absolutely agree. If I scruffed my whippet - even tho he is hard as nails :laugh - the damage to the relationship would be lasting.

    I've been out over the last two nights with Vixen just to give her a few runs, I'm not saying too much but i'm happy with her. I've a member off here who's visiting from Australia coming over tonight for a nights lamping, just hope wind keeps up!!

    Hi Luke I'm pleased you've put this post up as Nicola was a little concerned at the weekend as your lass was so worried about the bitch. I've just phoned Nicola to let her know. My advice would be to keep the bitch active, keep taking her walks and don't over feed her now. You can get the grub into her once she's whelped little and often is the key mate. My old whippet bitch had 10 pups and looked like a cruelty case after she'd whelped, after a week she looked spot on and was eating 3lbs of lamb as well as redmills racer a day!!!. For the first 3-4 days i only use carpet in the whelpi

    Well here's the rank outsider Vixen a Kc registered whippet 20" and 30lb 2 Years old Just entered for the craic really not expecting to get very far, we'll give it our best shot though. I've got a member of thl who's visiting the uk from Australia coming out for a shine on sunday night looking forward to it.
