  1. These are meant to be very good boots, there was a thread sometime ago about them, better to import from the states though, does anyone know how to do this, (best way cheapest way.) There great boots mine are well into there third year and there as good as new, thats 3 seasons ferreting, lamping, beating and walking the dogs. Just keep them clean and use chelsea leather food on them. I bought mine off ebay (america), 'Pats boot barn' i think
  2. I work whippets and were out at least 2 full days a week ferreting and 2-3 nights a week lamping during the season. If you get your dog fit and feed it a good quality diet, provide it with a warm kennel. You'll have no problem at all. People who have never owned whippets under estimate them, i was running my bitch alongside my friends lurcher and she was holding her own even on the more larger quarry.. Plenty of good grub and keep them fit thats the key with whippets (and any other running dog IMO)
  3. I've just uploaded Saturday's photo's onto my website they can be viewed by CLICKING HERE Then click on the Royal county game fair page. cheers.

  5. I did the photography at the show and as forest says it was a logistical nightmare. We arrived on the showground at 9.30pm on the friday after a 200 mile journey. We had to unload the van get some grub and then get our heads down for the night on the floor of the marque!!!. I find it a shame really as all i get when i'm doing events in the north of england is 'why don't we get events like this down south??'. Well all i can say is if people don't support these larger dog events then they just won't happen.. I'm not directly involved with the show commitee, even though i never show my do
  6. What i'd be asking myself is this. Is the dog stolen.
  7. I spotted this on the way home from town at lunchtime. The best thing about it is it's a completely straight road. The car has been rolled and finished up ontop of the bin!!!
  8. It needs to be done by a RFD and then registered on your firearms cert and with the local plod. I know someone who could do the work at a reasonable cost. If you pm me i'll give you his number
  9. Just answer the questions they ask you mate, everyones different. All there coming for is to see if you are suitable and sensible to own a shotgun. If you show him/her where you intend to put the cabinet etc. Offer them a cup of tea. Make sure you don't have any airrifles on view etc, it's just common sense really
  10. You must be mistaken CP rumour has it she's just a show bitch!!!! i'm told i go out and shoot the rabbits then put them in front of her to take a photo!!!!. There has been a load of bollocks said about Vixen in the past year, she's only good for ferreting, she's only a show dog etc etc. Last winter i was organising a lamping competition for just kc whippets, as alot of people claimed they lamped there dogs and they were good workers etc etc.I thought it would be a good opertunity for us to get together and enjoy a few nights lamping on MY PERMISSION. The competition was open to just 8 dogs.
  11. The first pic is an absolute belter, i would be really pleased if i'd have taken that one. I'd call that a calendar pic. If you email me the full size image i'll print you a nice enlargement and send it you. The second one is also very good.
  12. No problem at all. The FO will let you know if your application has been granted and return to view your cabinet. Then they will issue your certificate.
  13. He may well do, but what he's said is true.
