  1. I've wired my heat lamps through a thermostat so there not on 24/7. My boxes are about 1.2m sq. and filled with shreaded wax paper. I've tried many different ways and this I find the best way.
  2. I had a porta mag but sold it after a couple of years. Didn't really rate it. I much prefer heat lamps for recovery after a hard day or nights graft.
  3. Nice kennel, if you look in the CMW they sell galv panels in there if anyone wants to make one. Bit cheaper than £150 too.
  4. How is 8 years a line of lurchers?? It's hardly generations of breeding is it.
  5. You've not really answered his question?? I interested in spaniels to, so would like to hear people's coments. Most lads prefer terrier/spaniels for flushing as I think they follow a line better.
  6. If your asking on here, and are going to take advise from people who have never seen the dogs in question, then I really don't think you should be breeding
  7. The bulls head and the Pomona in gorton. The two roughest pubs I've been in without a shadow of a dought. I'm glad I knew people when I went lol!
  8. I think you'll find lamping hares is illegal..
  9. It only the celebs that are making the news, making it look like being a nonce is a celebrity thing. It's not though, it's everywhere. The local prison (north sea camp) is 70% sex offenders, and I've a mate who is an inspector in the local CID, and he says child sex crime is rife in lincolnshire. They have a task force on it 365 days a year.
  10. I use to use shreaded cardboard but the dust was unbelievable. I know use shreaded wax paper. More expensive but much better.
  11. Why do you use jeyes twice a day? If your walking them twice a day, they shouldn't be making a mess of the run.
  12. All that show boating probally made him britains richest feather weight. Far play to him.
  13. I use a standard Honeywell stat. The lowest setting is 10 degrees, which is what it's set on.
  14. Are you on a card meter Tomo. If so I think they are set at a slightly higher rate?. I've just wired mine through a stat this week and they click on and off through the day.
  15. So ballbags courser, everyone who refuses to help is a bunny basher lol. f**k it, I'll help him. Who shall I make this cheque for £10000 out to, lol. Now f**k off and play the harp strings somewhere else.
  16. If he's got pictures of dogs and badgers then more fool him. He's made his bed, so he best lay in it.
  17. So is it a first X, or 5th generation. Carnt be both
  18. Are they Moo's dogs on the back cover?
  19. No one is saying there not clever, just that they are not natural retrievers. The odd one might but not many do. I've only ever had 2 natural retrievers, both bitches and neither had saluki in them. My old dog, ( now 10 ) is probally the most obedient dog I've seen, but he won't retrieve game. He will fetch balls and dummy's all day long and the odd rabbit but everything else he just stands over. He is heavily saluki saturated.
  20. What about boy blue. I think he is open stud, but I don't know what he's like. Dave sleight has him.
  21. I think he means desert land isn't normally swampy lol
  22. Your all going way too deep. The question he asked was regarding first crosses and does it matter which way round they are bred. It would be interesting to hear of someone who has bred both ways.
  23. Not many retrieve, well out of the ones I've seen anyway. Most have not been trained to though, so therefore they are not naturals.
