    As said its the time you save , spade out dig down rabbit and ferret out move on . Or stand waiting at the burrow for a good couple of hours

    Total waste of time when i go lamping at work , first call is to the security office phone the police and get a job number then the guys log it onto there report with the number till i call them back and logout . Six times the armed response have been called out .I often get a call on my mobile Bob where are you the police are here and would like a word ?LOL > i say fine i will be back in ten minutes they check my paperwork say any chance of a shot of the gun ,( probably to guess the power ) and say youve got a few rabbits there and go .     If you do a couple of hours on a Sunday morning on a field with nice shallow burrows you could probably get by without one . try charging for rabbit control or working big deep burrows you will soon find out you need one . Another favorite of mine My ferret kills ever rabbit in the burrow i don't need a locator , try digging down to a mark and finding a backed up rabbit with the ferret scratching its a*se , The ferret comes out you pick it up and before your down the farm drive all these rabbits with bare backsides are outside the warren .     We are getting our grandson on friday while mum and dad go back for retraining at work , them we are babysitting thursday , friday and saturday while the daughter in law works LOL I cant wait hes 7 months old and its like somebody lit the fuse on a firework the trouble i get into with him LOL he can crawl faster than i can run and he looks at you laughs and takes off

    I've got loads from official looking letters to scraps of paper with a name and phone number on them , i photocopied them keep them in the glove box and if i get tugged show them , its handy if you get a pull saying i've just been there heading to there . Most plod don't bother but you get the odd barstool who wants to phone a farmer in the wee hours

    I cleaned out the ferrets today and at the bottom of the shavings where all the number 6 shot the pheasants had been shot with that i'm feeding them i wouldn't remove the slugs there bigger than the pellets and there eating round them

    I freeze everything for 2/3 weeks and never had a problem

    You put both them in the same hutch the young ones going to get pumped at best maybe killed

    I reckon the jill jab is the worst way of bring them out of season as even with the jag they will come in 4/5 times and your pumping them full of chemicals Far better running them with a snipped hob and he takes them out as they come into season

    Aye they built a compost convertor to get rid of the university's food waste and they started storing the waste food in 30/40 green wheelie bins , and we open the catering doors at 04.30 for deliveries and a lot of the drivers moan about the amount of rats around the bins Being plastic they just chew into them LOL , then the compost convertor was never fired up LOL . I was going to put traps down and try to help out since its so quiet but after a run in with my boss i thought sod it Rats are dirty but its funny to see a Squirrel running away with a Morning roll in its mouth

    Since the campus has closed down we are seeing rats everywhere and the council guys been called in twice to put bait boxes down then top them up . We think its since the catering shut down all the rats that where at the waste food bins are now having to travel to find food

    Aye the wife and son went to stay with friend in Yorkshire and got taken to a smallholding type place and got two kits in a bucket with a wire lid ( That was another first for me )and once home said dad got you 2 BEWs that turned out to be Sandies /Champanges however you read the colours i really think its a Yorkshire thing
